Unfruitful Dieting

Fasting in the morning, a small cup of rice in the noon and a single chapatti for dinner, inspite of doing all these people complain that their body weight is still not under control. Obesity is a dependant factor. According to WHO ideal weight can be calculated by subtracting 100 from height in centimeters. A slight increase cannot be considered as obese. Body Mass Index (BMI) is the parameter to measure obesity.
What are the Causes of Obesity ?

Thyroid gland disorders, poly cystic ovarian disorders, hormone imbalances, drug usage are some of the causes of obesity. Lack of exercises and their eating pattern are the main causes of obesity. Diseases can be treated and cured, but there is no treatment for wrong life styles. Only way is to change yourself.

Most of the obese people hesitate to even walk from their seats for a tea or water. People spend most of the time in front of television and computers. They travel only in car or planes. Foods provide energy.Atleast a one percent of this should be used. Body uses the needed energy and conserves the rest. The result is obesity.

Late sleeping is the common habit of obese people and naturally they get up late in the morning. They feel drowsy after getting up. They don’t make it a point to exercise daily instead they complain of no time. Their menu will be rich in fast food, snacks or fried foods.fat in these foods will increase their weight. Sweets and chocolates will increase weight. Sweets should be avoided by those who wish to lower their weights.

Failure in Dieting

Let me introduce few friends who have failed with dieting. Some of them control their diet strictly for 4 to 5 or 8 to 10 days. They avoid breakfast, eat less in the noon and very less for dinner. They lose weight quickly. But they lose their control when there is a journey or a special occasion. This is just like fasting between breakfast and lunch. The body uses the entire calories and they gain more weight than before. They again start dieting after few days just to stop it. There are some people who omits all temptations. But the body is not ready to loose weight. They get infections resulting in giddiness, fever and they are forced to stop dieting. Unscientific and over controlled dieting decreases the body nutrients and results in diseases.

There are some others who avoid breakfast and lunch. They eat only at night, which will be a very heavy one. They will have tea and snacks in between (such as vada, banana fry, potato fry or cashew nuts). Fat rich diet will only decrease the HB level and will not decrease the weight. In addition to this there will be tea and juices with lots of sugar which will finally increase the body size. 

How to Do Proper Dieting ?

Dieting should be done carefully because it cannot be continued for long time if there is excess control. Dieting can also be done even after taking food 3 times a day.
Avoid protein rich diet, oily foods and fat rich foods. 
Include meat and egg only once in a while in your diet.eat more fruits and vegetables.
Weight can be decreased even without decreasing your food volume. 
Tea and juices with more sugar will increase the calorie intake. So drink juices without adding sugar.eat only three times a day. 

Relationship between Dieting and Exercise 

Make it a habit to do exercise or yoga. Decrease the time you spent in front of idle entertainment measures like Television or computers so that you get more time for exercise. Strictly avoid using snacks in between. Form a habit to go early to bed and early to rise. If you sleep for long time in the morning you will not get enough time for exercise and breakfast. Indirectly all these unhealthy habits may prevent you from loosing weight. Spent your free day time in doing some hobbies. Your body weight can be controlled easily with some simple life style changes alone unless it is hereditary or due to any diseases.

So dear friend, don’t be a failure in dieting, instead just make sure that you are following the right method in dieting. Evaluate and correct yourself and follow the right steps in dieting. Let’s make failure as the stepping stone to success.
