Learn about healthy fats
It's common to expect that among the best ways to lose weight is to cut all fats from our diet, but this is not entirely true. In fact, it is actually unhealthy because there are a good amount of healthy fats that your body does need. Eliminating these fats can even cause you harm. Learning about healthy fats is therefore important if you are serious about fast weight loss.
What is Good and Bad fat
It’s an undisputed fact that if our body is given excess fat or the improper type of fat, we may be risking several health issues like obesity, heart problems and could also encourage some kinds of cancer.
The good Fats, when consumed in the proper amounts, have an opposite effect on our body's health. When consumed in good amounts, these fats assist the body in processing consumed nutrients that can be found in veggies and fruits. Good fats will improve and condition our cardiovascular system and actually help in the battle against obesity. Studies have shown that they even seem to build the body's resistance to some kinds of cancer.
Sources of Good fat
In order for all this to be any use to you, you need to know where these types of fat are. The Healthy or good Fats are Plant based. Nuts, seeds and avocados, flax seed oil and extra virgin olive oil are excellent sources of Good fat. So teach yourself some good salad recipes.
Another great source is fish; including fish in your diet plan is a good way to get more Omega three fatty acids which is a good type of fat. The more 'oily' fish are the ones that have the highest levels, fish like Salmons, mackerels and anchovy. Many others like tuna also contain similar fatty acids but in reduced amounts.
Animal fat is a vastly different from the plants based fat. You need to avoid this if you can to help your weight loss goals
