Weight Loss Tip: Eat Soup


One of the best ways to lose weight is to fill up before you eat. There are lots of products out there that promise to fill you up, such fiber wafers that promise to swell in your belly making you less hungry. You don't need expensive wafers.  All you need is soup!!

Eating a bowl of soup 30 minutes before your meal will cut your appetite considerably. In fact, after a bowl of soup, you might find you are no longer hungry. Stick to low sodium soups, preferably homemade. Use clear, fat free broth and add lots of veggies. You can add a bit of lean meat or some beans to make it a bit more filling.


Get in the habit of eating a bowl of soup before each meal, or any time you are hungry between meals. You can even sip on a hot cup of broth instead of drinking coffee or tea. It's filling! You will soon find that you are eating less at meal time. And that leads to good, healthy weight loss.
