How to Lose Weight Quickly and Naturally


Are you wanting to lose weight quickly?  Well, so you know that it is very possible!  Some people will claim that it isn't, but if you are willing to follow the steps and guidelines that I lay out for you, then you can be well on your way to seeing some great weight loss numbers in a short amount of time.

This isn't based around a magic pill, or some sort of starvation diet or single food cleanse.  Those won't help you for the long term, even though you may get some quick results, they actually damage your body and you won't be able to keep the weight off for the long term.

So, if you just work hard and follow these 3 main areas, then you'll see some solid results in a short amount of time.

Eating Right

Eating right is a key component to any fast weight loss program that you may be embarking on.  Without eating right and the proper portions, then you will not see the type of results that you are hoping for.  Eating right and dieting doesn't mean starving yourself, but it does mean making the right choices when it comes to what foods to eat and what foods you need to stay away from.

The first thing that you want to do is to stay away from bad foods.  Any food that is high in calories or high in fat are definitely foods that you need to stay away from.  These not only hinder your weight loss efforts but they also add to the fat and unhealthiness in your body.  You also want to stay away from high-sugar foods because those are simple carbs that don't contribute anything positive at all.  Also, high-sodium foods cause your body to retain water, which will also hinder your weight loss efforts.

You also want top drink more water.  Water is to our bodies like oil is too a car... very necessary for making sure all of the parts are running smoothly.  It is recommended that everyone should drink 64 ounces of water every day but if you weigh more than 200 pounds you should definitely be drinking more than 64 ounces every day.  As long as you are urinating on a regular basis, then you don't have to worry about drinking too much water.

Lifting Weights

I know, many people who are wanting to lose weight, especially those hoping to lose weight fast, don't want to lift weights because they are worried about gaining muscle, and since muscle weighs more than fat, they are worried it will hurt them. Yes, muscle does weigh more than fat, but if you are building muscle it helps you to burn fat throughout the day faster than it does without lean muscle tissue. When you are working out, by building muscle it burns the fat faster. And the best part is, if you are building muscle, you'll be burning fat faster even when you aren't exercising, how awesome is that?! So just incorporate some weight lifting into your workout routines and you'll be burning fat fast!

And for the ladies who are afraid to lift weights because they don't want to get all big and bulky, don't worry, you can still lift weights. Just use a smaller size weight (but one that isnt too easy) and do more reps with the smaller weight. It will still build lean muscle and you will look toned.

Doing Some Cardio

You definitely want to incorporate some cardio into your workouts, but don't make that the only thing you do in your workout.  You body gets used to your running or elliptical motions pretty quickly, and so the returns you get from doing cardio like running on a treadmill will be diminished as you go along.  It is a good way to start your workouts, and to cool down and end your workouts, but as far as doing it the whole time you are working out, it won't help you.

Conclusion

Adding all of these things together, you'll see that you are able to lose weight quickly.  if you keep working out, by mixing cardio with resistance training such as lifting weights, and continue to eat right and drink your water, then you'll be able to keep the fat off and continue to look great even after losing the weight!
