Caution!-Diets that you should avoid.......

Dieting-The reduction of food consumption or caloric intake in the effort to lose weight

Dieting,.......

such a vague word. What does dieting mean?.... Dieting- is the reduction of consumption of food or caloric intake in the effort to lose weight. Many people don't know how to take this word,..... some overreact when they hear it, and others take it lightly.Literally.When a person hears that another person is on a "diet" they tend to be harsher on the dieter than the dieter herself. Once someone notices someone who has commented they are on a diet get anything to eat, the first thing that they throw at the person's face ,is;... aren't you on a diet????..... so why are you eating?????. They may also say, that there is too much food in the dieter's plate;as if the person who is on a diet was not entitled to eat anything just because the person said they're on a diet. ..People to be on a diet means to eat less... not to stop eating all together.! People need to eat in order to survive and be healthful.

Putting the pressure on, could be harmful..

What these non dieter's fail to realize is that they are putting too much pressure on the dieter, and that they may be doing this person more harm than good with the added peer pressure of staying on top of their diet.

If a person decided to go on diet, is because they saw something that they may not like or feel comfortable with.... If they have someone constantly throwing at their face that they need to stay on the diet, they are only reassuring this person's bad feelings of themselves.

This may push the person to crash diets or extreme dieting.The person may start eating less or even skipping meals. They may not eat as healthy as they used to, to try and achieve their weight loss goals.

Losing weight is a good thing for people who are extremely obese.People who want to get toned and fit may also attempt to lose some weight to help their exercise routine be more effective.

Extreme dieting affects everyone....

Sometimes the dieter may go so far onto their dieting that they will skip meals or just plain attempt to stick with some not so very healthy types of diets.Some can become anorexic.These are people who no matter how much weight loss they have achieved they can't seem to be able to accept that they are in fact slim or skinny and want to continue on losing weight until their health totally decays.They fail to realize that they are not only affecting their lives in a very negative way, as well as their children or family members also......They suffer as they see their dieting family member succumb to a fantasy ... The fantasy that if they continue to use or resort to these extreme diets that they will be ok. They think their health and life all togetherwill be just fine... Until they have to face the real consequences of extreme or crash dieting.There is nothing good about crash diets except that you may be able to save money temporarily by starving yourself. I say temporarily because if you end up getting ill from malnutrition then you'll have to spend the money at the hospital attempting to get well .

These people are making their lives a living hell, subjecting themselves to torturous extreme dieting. The sad thing about these extreme, crash diets is that once you stop dealing with them you will gain all the weight that you lost and then some. The best way to lose weight is not through crash diets....The best way to do so is through exercise and eating properly.You must visit all food groups and eat in moderation.

Diets that you should avoid ....

The cabbage soup diet-This diet is so lacking in nutrients that if you stick with it for too long it could prove to be detrimental to your health.

The grape fruit diet- This diet is so restrictive and limiting as well as so low calorie that it could lead to very serious health problems or result in a long term eating disorder.

The Master Cleanse- this diet consists of lemon juice, water, cayenne pepper powder and maple syrup. With this diet even though you may lose weight pretty fast you will end up regaining it just as quickly once you get done with it.

Baby food diet- any type of grounded up or pulverized food is not good for adults

Shakes-even though some meal shake plans are better than others, they are very unlikely that they will help maintain the kind of eating habits that will get a person to lose weight.

Martha's Vine Yard Diet-this diet will help you lose 21 lbs in 21 days it consists of liquids like soups and juices. It also allows you to take in some supplements, but doesn't have enough fats, proteins or carbs to make a healthy diet.





When ever you decide that you will venture unto dieting, you should consult a doctor or nutritionist so they can guide you in the proper way to eat better. Do not venture unto things that sound to good to be true as this may cost you more than what you realize.
