The Smart Way to Lose Weight

There is Really only Three Areas to Focus On

Lifestyle:

A healthy lifestyle is attained by eating sensibly, and keeping a regular exercise routine. There are several things that can be done to ensure this happens consistently.

Taylor eating habits to avoid fast foods and anything deep fried to avoid excessive trans fat intake. Get into the habit of drinking juices instead of soda, and of course drink lots of water.

Take the time to make your own meals from scratch... make your own salad dressing rather than use commercial brands.

On top of any exercise program you may currently be into, incorporate the habit of doing exercises that do not require a trip to the gym... stair training, wind sprints, skip rope, push ups, chin ups, etc.

Everything to do with lifestyle is a matter of changing and building habits.

Exercise:

Doing the right type of exercise is key. You should build muscle as well as cardio capacity. Muscle will use up calories and oxygen assists in the calorie burning process.

Change up your exercise routine, this not only breaks up the boredom, but a variable training program over a steady type endurance exercise will ready the heart and body to react to different stress levels.

Think in terms of stop and go... physical bursts of exertion followed by a recovery period rather than a steady pace endurance movement.

Diet:

Make smart food decisions, this is even more important than exercising. A nutritious diet is not only healthier, but proper food selection will also aid weight loss by resulting in you actually eating less.

Cuisine with little or no nutrients (i.e. junk foods) can have an addictive effect, in other words, make you crave more. This is because your body is "expecting" nutrients from what you eat. If it doesn't get the required nutrients your mind triggers a craving to eat more until it does.

A balanced diet that consists of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, whole grains, legumes, meats, dairy, eggs, etc., will contain all the nutrients your body needs to operate efficiently.
