If you want to stay healthy but don’t want to follow any strict diet don’t worry there are some other good ways to lose weight. Some of them simply require changing daily routine. These include the following:
Eat your breakfast all the time. Skipping the important meal of the day can lead to poor food choices and overeating in the afternoon or later into the night. More than that, lack of breakfast may slow down your metabolism. The alternative is to get a mid-morning snack.
Start with salad. Eating salad before meal will almost definitely stop you from eating too much. Stuff all the veggies you like but just be cautious about putting high-fat extras such shredded cheese or cream-based dressings. Many fast food restaurants serve inexpensive side salad and some "value meals" will give you the option to exchange salad for another side item.
Say no to bottomless drinks. Many restaurants offer all-you-can-drink beverages such as iced tea or soft drinks. Practically, sky is the limit. Resist the temptation and order healthy drinks instead like diet soda, green tea or unsweetened iced tea. If you simply can’t refuse to take a sip just a order a glass of your favorite drink and drink water after. Over time, this will help you minimize calorie intake.
H2O forever. I bet you’ve read this so many times before and that’s because it works. Doctors recommended six to eight 8-ounce glasses of water daily. Sometimes, we tend to mistake thirst for hunger. You don’t have to be thirsty to drink water.
Get some rest. Getting enough rest can directly affect your power to burn calories. It also gives you enough energy to workout to your fullest capacity. On the flip side, lack of sleep will make you eat more often or make poor choices. You don’t have to really sleep. Just take time to chill out – listen to claming music or simply lie down doing nothing. This will help you avoid stress-eating.
