For me the best way to lose weight involves 3 disciplines, the first and most often overlooked is the mind.
BEGIN WITH THE MIND
Get absolutely crystal clear about why you want to lose weight, and then set a written goal list - and write to yourself why its so important to you.
some good reasons to discover the best way to lose weight:
longevity - you want to live and be with your family
slows the aging process
reduces the risk of death, hypertension and diabetes as well as dementia
makes you look good and feel healthy and fit
increases your sex drive and sex appeal
GOAL LIST
Write a goal list that is specific and written in a positive manner, such as:(note i did not write I want write as if you have it)
I am below 20 % body fat within 6 months
I am fit and have loads of stamina and endurance in 3 months
I have killer abs in 3 months
VISUALISATION
Next what you need to do once you have written your goal list is to create a mental image of how you will look and feel when you have attained your goal, see yourself in the mirror, feel the energy and vitality and how sexy you feel with your healthier body, actually feel the way if feels to be strong and toned, look into your eyes in the mirror and say I Like myself, this is me.
take the time to do this each morning and before going to bed you will be amazed, what you are doing is programming your subconcious mind to accept and alter your self image and this will help tremendously.(you will no longer self sabotage your healthy life efforts)
EAT A HEALTHY DIET
After dealing with the mind, the next most important aspect of the best way to lose weight will be to eat a healthy diet
A healthy diet and a good approach would be to include lots of green veggies and to exclude most processed carbs(bread, bagels, doughnuts,pasta, and ok potatoes though they are not processed) you can also eat lean cuts of meat and eggs
Good veggies
broccoli,cabbage, brussels sprouts
spinach, beetroot, garlic and onions
sweetpotatoes, chillies and peppers
Green tea, and omega 3 oils
All these foods actually help you to burn fat!
Another misunderstood policy is meal timing, it is actually better to eat six small portions rather than 3 bigger meals.

suffice it to say we all kind of know what a healthy diet is yet we dont often follow it out of convenience,
GOLDEN RULES OF FAT BUSTING EXERCISE
In order to maximise your fat loss efforts you need to lift weights, yes even you ladies afraid of becoming butch, this is actually a fallacy and working out with weights tones and sculpts the female form beautifully..
There is simply no substitute for the sheer fat burning power of combining weight lifting with cardio interval training(intense all out cardio efforts that are very brief eg 10 , 100 meter sprints at maximum effort.)
Why this works? when you lift weights and get a 'pump' your muscles burn fat for hours after you quit, something walking or jogging can never do, as soon as you stop jogging the burn ends.
everyone needs to lift some form of weights, my favorites are kettlebells dumbells and barbells
Exercises to burn fat
squats, deadlifts and lunges
overhead press or military press
bench or dumbell press
tablemakers, bridging and the table.(core) isometric exercises
exercising the legs burns the most fat, they are the largest muscle group in the body so its important to work them out vigourously intil you have a good pump.
Intervals
kettlebell swings
kettlbell snatch
10 x 100 meter sprints, try it on a hill for more effort!
