Of course the temptation to shed weight quickly is often there . You have a special occasion such as a wedding to attend and you want to look at your best or perhaps you have a holiday due

But crash diets are generally really bad for you. You can end up with colds and headaches as your body's immune system is weakened.

The change in diet can also effect your mood creating swings that can often make you miserable and irritable.

To top it all any weight loss tends to be only temporary. So you end up in the same situation next time a special occasion comes round.

It is far better to adopt a reasonable healthy, gradual weight loss programme and focus on a beach holiday in one year's time. That way you can achieve your ideal weight in a healthy manner, learn how to sustain it by adopting a new lifestyle and enjoy the journey!

You should be planning a balanced diet and regular exercise to be a routine part of your life and should talk with your doctor to identify those that are appropriate to you.

Change your lifestyle in the right way and you will trasnform your life. Next time that special event comes round you can spend all your efforts finding the right dress!
