Why Calories Shifting Diets Help You Lose Weight Fast

A Brief Overview Of Calories Shifting Diets

There are some of us who find that going on a diet can be somewhat exciting, especially since they can help us get rid of excess weight and become closer to the image we have of ourselves. For this reason, it is very easy for us to be lured into diet plans that say they can help us lose up to 6 pounds -- sometimes more -- in a week. But, are these diet plans really effective? Is it really possible and healthy to lose weight that fast? As you may know, not all diet plans are for real, although there are many popular fad diets out there that say they can help you lose the weight fast, many of them fall far short of that goal.

Some diet plans are healthy for you to lose weight, but many of them are not. This is why it is important for you to be cautious concerning the diet plan you choose to adhere to. But, there are diet plans known as calories shifting diet plans that work very well and are still very healthy. These plans allow you to lose weight at a relatively rapid pace and do not harm your health in any way. The most famous of these plans is "Fat Loss 4 Idiots." This is a diet plan that shows exactly why all other diet plans fail and are unhealthy, and Fat Loss 4 Idiots is a scientifically based system of losing excess weight.

The most common fad diets out on the market utilize a system of reducing your calorie intake and the amount of food you eat. While this does indeed help you to lose weight in the beginning, more often than not, you will begin putting on more weight before you even finish the plan! This is because there is no way in the plan to keep the weight off for a longer period of time. This is primarily because the human body is conditioned in such a way that the metabolism will adjust to your everyday activities. When it becomes used to the foods you eat -- or don't eat -- the metabolism will slow down, burning off less calories and fat.

The amount of fat that is burned off is in direct relation to your metabolic rate. If you have a high metabolic rate, then you will burn off more calories. The slower the metabolism is, the less calories you will burn. And, here is what may surprise you: the lesser the amount of calories you take in, the slower the metabolism will become -- you will burn less calories and fat! Most of the fad diets out there are based on taking in less calories, which slows the metabolism down -- this is why they always fail and never work. If you happen to go on a binge eating spree for just one day, you will find that you will have put on more weight, because the body is only used to burning off fewer calories.

Calories shifting diet plans will not fail you like other diet plans because there is a scientific reality behind them. This diet plan utilizes the understanding that rotating the foods you eat daily is needed so that you can maintain a high metabolic rate. The higher your metabolic rate is, the more calories and fat you will burn off. You will eat one type of food this week, and one type of food the next week. This way, you will not be eating the same foods all the time, and your metabolism will stay high by not becoming used to the same eating habits. This will keep your metabolism way up, and help you burn more fat and calories as you go.
