I am my own worst enemy. I have always known it. But when it came to eating I ignored it. I would sit in front of the TV mindlessly eating like a zombie with at least one hand inside a pack of potato chips or breaking off pieces of chocolate before I’d even swallowed the last bit.
My partner and I had become what we never thought we would be and we were in big trouble. We were conscious about how we looked and our morale and self esteem hit record lows, but we consoled ourselves with fatty food which 1) made it worse and 2) negatively impacted our metabolism.
