How to Lose 10 Pounds - Fast and Easy Method
While the concept of diet and exercise to lose weight sounds simple enough, for most of us nothing is harder. The thought of having to give up all of our favorite foods to shed a few pounds is sad to think about. For most people, in order to lose weight fast you have to eat nothing but lean meats and vegetables for weeks on end.
I, however, was able to lose weight without completely ditching all my favorite treats. In the past six months I've lost 50 pounds while occasionally indulging in ice cream, potato chips and french fries. How did I do it? I have a few simple tips to share with you on how you can lose weight quickly and painlessly.
1. Diet is 80% of weight loss. Therefore to lose weight you MUST cut calories. Now notice I said CUT CALORIES, not CUT OUT FOODS. If you have a craving for ice cream, factor that into your daily calories. While you should eat lots of healthy foods, don't feel guilty about the occasional snack.
2. Don't like exercise? Just walk! While intense exercise is great for aerobic conditioning, walking burns calories and tones muscle without making you feel exhausted afterwards. After an hour long walk or so I feel more energized and invigorated than I did before I left for my walk! I like to walk to the grocery store, so I get exercise and complete some errands.
3. Schedule in a cheat day every week. While you don't want to go crazy on a cheat day, use that one day to eat the foods you'd never eat during the week. Those are the days I indulge in a big piece of cake or a big plate of french fries. The key is to not intentionally overeat. Stop when you are satisfied, not stuffed.
4. Follow the 70% rule when you eat. We have conditioned ourselves to eat until we can't take another bite. This is the wrong way of eating. You should stop eating when you are 70% full. You should feel comfortable, and like you could eat a little bit more if you really wanted to.
5. Constantly monitor your progress. Do this in whatever way you like, whether it's stepping on the scale, taking measurements or trying on your "skinny" clothes. Constantly taking check of your progress will keep you from deviating from your plan.
