EFT Tapping Makes it Easier to Lose Weight

Discovering EFT tapping (emotional freedom technique) make it much easier to lose weight. Once you have mastered EFT, and it is a very simple tool to use, you will be well on your way to an easy and enjoyable weight loss.

If you have never heard of EFT, I invite you to explore some of the links that you find on this page. EFT is an increasingly popular technique that is based on redirecting the body's energy. By tapping your fingers lightly on certain acupuncture points, you can get relief from traumas, phobias, painful memories, addictions and behaviors such as overeating. And, surprisingly, EFT often works to improve or cure physical conditions as well, although it is not promoted as a physical healing tool. Physical healing, when it happens, is just a side effect, although one that no one ever complains about.

If you've ever been on a diet, you know what its like to feel hunger. You also know what its like to have a big appetite Hunger is the body's natural response to needing food. Appetite is the amount of food we have taught ourselves to want. Appetite is what leads to overeating.

You can use EFT tapping to control your appetite.

If you are experiencing appetite in between your scheduled meal and snack breaks, or if you still have appetite after you have consumed your food allottment, try EFT tapping. You'll be surprised at the relief it offers.

Tap as many rounds as needed. "Even though I want more food than my body needs, I deeply and completely accept myself. I want another serving. I want more food... "

Tip: EFT Tapping Before Social Events

Worried about how you'll control your eating at the birthday party or the Friday night movie with friends?

if you worry that the birthday cake or popcorn will be your downfall, prepare in advance by doing some preventative tapping. Do several rounds before leaving home. Start with a few rounds describing the problem. "Even though I'm afraid I'll give in to temptation tonight, I deeply and completely accept myself. I know I'll want the cake. I'll feel deprived if I turn it down.

Then, do several rounds tapping in positive affirmatons "I choose what I want to eat. I control my eating. I am perfectly satisfied with healthy, nutritious foods... "

Tip: EFT Tapping to Remove Exercise Apathy

Can't get yourself motivated to do the exercise that your body needs and wants?

Do some EFT tapping to strengthen your motivation to exercise. You may want to do this regularly, if your interest in exercise is low, or you may do it from time to time when you are temporarily disinterested.

Try tapping: "Even though I don't want to exercise, I deeply and completely accept myself. I don't like exercise. I hate going to the gym... "

Do a few rounds of the problem, then switch to reinforcing the positive. "I enjoy moving my body. I love the way I feel after exercising. I look forward to my excersise session .. "

Tip: EFT Tapping to Remove Self Hatred

Most people who struggle with overweight develop a strong degree of self hatred or low self esteem.

This self hatred makes it harder to commit to weight loss. At some level, we begin to think of our physical self as our enemy and we struggle to believe that we are worthy of health and fitness. Committing to weight loss means overcoming these negative feelings and beliefs to the point that we can do something that is good for us.

EFT is a remarkable tool to improve self worth. Depending on how severely damaged your self worth has become, you may want to do this tapping regulary for an extended period of time. If the negative beliefs have been around for many years, or since childhood, there will be many layers of energy to move.

Try tapping: Even though I hate myself for gaining weight, I deeply and completely accept myself. Even though I call myself names, I completely accept myself....:

After several rounds, begin to tap in the positive. "I love and accept myself regardless of my weight. My worth does not depend upon a number on the scales I am a worthwhile human being ... "

EFT Tapping to Overcome Excuses

Something good happened. I have to celebrate
I'm too tired to cook a healthy meal.
I deserve a treat today.
Somebody brought donuts to work and I had to have some
The restaurant didn't have the food I wanted so I had to eat something unhealthy
Obesity runs in my family


Identify your own, and start tapping:

"Even though I have all these excuses, I deeply and completely accept myself. I am full of excuses. I love to make excuses. I have to eat because ..."

After a few rounds, switch to: "I fully intend to eat healthy, nutritious meals. I am interested in food that helps me achieve my weight goals. I am interested in eating the quantities of food that contribute to my weight goals..."
