Losing Weight Doesn't Have To Be A Struggle
Do you need to lose weight quickly and effectively? Do you need to lose weight fast for a wedding or other social event? It's easy if you follow these simple steps. This plan is based on a two week time frame so give yourself some wiggle room. I will tell you exactly how I lost around 14 pounds in about 15 days. I did it without starving myself or restricting calories. In fact I ate like a pig!
Yes this does involve cutting carbs but it does NOT mean eating nothing but meat for 2 weeks, that's just crazy. This also involves increasing your quality protein intake. Protein builds muscle and makes you feel fuller and more sated longer than eating empty calorie rich carbs. This means you wont feel like like your depriving yourself resulting in over-eating.
There is really only two components to this plan, diet and exercise. I incorporated both which resulted in the 14 lbs of solid fat that I lost in such a short time. However if one were to do just the diet alone they could still lose around 8-10 lbs maybe more. This is how to lose fat quickly , pure body fat not water weight. Imagine doing this for a whole month! As far as the exercise program I followed it was basically a high intensity/short duration workout. I will expand on this in a future article.
Let's start with what I ate. Well for breakfast I had either a quality protein shake and some grapefruit or I ate eggs. Yes Eggs! Yolk and all. I can't argue the benefits of eggs here because people still believe you should only eat the whites...nonsense! Avoid highly refined carbs like donuts, pancakes, muffins, white bread etc. Instead have a delicious omelette with diced tomatoes onions or mushrooms, heck even some ground turkey, whatever you like. For this 2 week program eat only low glycemic fruits and carbs, ones that fall below the GI (glycemic index) of 35.
For lunch and dinner I always had a good quality serving of protein and a lot of vegetables or a big ol' salad. However I absolutely love sandwiches, uh oh that means bread ugh! I ate Ezekiel bread because it has a low GI, you can find it in your local supermarket. So I could pile on the turkey, tuna, or roast beef and cheese (yes Cheese is ok here regardless of what the calories and fat say on the label). One of my favorite dinners was a nice grass fed beef steak and some raw broccoli or another big spring mix salad.
But What about snacks you say? I would satisfy my appetite between meals by eating raw almonds, cashews, and other nuts as well as hard boiled eggs(yes eggs again!). Or sometimes I would grab a handful of roasted turkey slices and a hunk of cheddar cheese. Remember the simple guidelines of lots of good quality protein and low glycemic carbs...it's so simple. When you do this you lose fat FAST.
