1.  If you want to lose weight quickly, eat smaller meals more often.  If you have 5 small, healthy meals each day, you are going to speed up that metabolism and start burning the calories much faster.  Most important, though, make sure you do eat your breakfast.

2.  Anyone who is watching their calories should be watching the labels on the foods they are eating.  Anything that has glucose or sugar near the top of the ingredients is not going to be good for you, but also, you need to beware of those ingredients that you can not pronounce.  All natural foods, those with fewer ingredients, are often the healthier choice.

3. You will also want to stay away from the fast foods.  Just one hamburger at a fast food restaurant can be more than 600 calories or more.  If you find yourself hungry when on the road, make sure you always have a healthy snack in your vehicle, such as an apple or an orange.  It can tide you over until dinner and you won’t be putting as many calories into your body.

4.  Listening to your body will also help you to achieve your weight loss goals.  There are many times that you may eat because you are bored, depressed, or angry.  Before you eat, always ask if you are eating because you are hungry or because of some other reason.  The truth is, most people do not realize they are emotional eaters until they start to keep a journal on what they are eating.

5.  Last, if you are serious and want to lose weight quickly, you need to become active.  The only way to achieve weight loss is to burn off more calories than you are taking in.  Even walking a few miles a day is going to help you.  The more active you are and the more weight will come off.
