Hard Work will pay off!!
Whatever happened to the old fashioned way of losing weight?
Why is it so hard for us to get off the couch and get ourselves fit?
In this world where we have to have everything here and now we have not time for exercise and diet, we eat, live, and diet to excess. We need to see results immediately and do not allow for the gradual change in body shape and what we eat.
We are constantly bombarded with emails, adverts, and shop displays pushing the latest miracle cure in how to lose weight by eating only soup or drinking powered shakes - I cannot think of anything worse - why would you spend a fortune buying disgusting drinks that smell and taste revolting?
I moved last year from UK to Australia and have found a new lease of life I have dropped 2 dress sizes and have a lot more get up and go. This was not done through "miracle tablets, drinks, soups or counting how many kilojoules that I have consumed in the one day.
The weight was lost through cutting down on chocolate and crisps and meal portions(which were huge) - I started to walk my daughter to school and got a dog which meant that she would have to be walked - I got a bike and started cycling and now both my kids love to go out on the bikes with me(the dog runs alongside). I am not someone you would ever see running, I believe that there will always be another bus!
I have not bought ready made meals for quite some time as my husband detests them so meals are made from scratch which also means that I am aware of what is going into the dinners that my family consume.
I am not saying that I am now the model of fitness as I could still lose some weight and drink too much wine and eat too many crackers but I now can say that its is done in moderation and not to excess.
So after reading this go on and get off the chair and have a walk around your house - it may inspire you to do something else!
