Best Fat Loss Workout?
Anyone that has been around the fitness industry long enough or has been on a quest for the best fat loss workout knows that there are more theories and ideas about the most effective way to lose weight than we could ever discuss in this article. What I'm going to focus on here is what my colleague Craig Ballantyne, the author of Turbulence Training, focuses on in his programs.
Turbulence Training is primarily based on using interval training workouts, full body exercise routines, bodyweight exercises, and completely phasing out traditional methods of slow boring cardio for fat loss workouts.
Take a look at this fat loss workout that you can do very quickly.
7 Minute Fat Loss Workouts
This is a 7 minute fat loss workout. Before you get excited thinking there must be a 6 minute, 5 minute, 4 minute, etc. workout - the line has to be drawn somewhere folk! That line is drawn at 7 minutes - if you are unwilling to do a 7 minute fat loss workout then you probably need a motivation check and since motivation and drive comes from within you, there's not much we can do about that. It's up to you to take action!
Here we go, this is a 7-minute bodyweight circuit that can help you lose weight, burn calories, and blast your metabolism up for several hours. There is no requirement to use equipment or any kind of machines, so we just eliminated the common excuse "I don't have a gym membership". You can do this fat loss workout anywhere!
Fat Loss Workout Routine
Bodyweight squat (10-20 reps)
Pushup (10-20 reps) – do it on your knees if you must
Reverse Lunge (10 reps per leg)
Plank (30 second hold)
Close-grip Pushup (10-20 reps)
Side Plank (20 second hold per side)
Mountain Climber (10 reps per side)
Do this entire circuit without any rest between the exercises. Rest for 1 full minute at the end of the 7-minute circuit and repeat up to 3 times.
For the beginners out there I would suggest that you do fewer repetitions and take slightly longer rests until you adapt and are in better overall condition to step up the intensity levels.
Quick Fat Loss Workouts Will Exhaust You!
Now before you go thinking this looks easy you need to be aware that this is a pretty tough workout, especially the combination of two exercises late in the circuit routine. This combo of bodyweight exercises will literally exhaust almost anyone before they are able to finish the full circuit. You can perform the circuit up to 3 times, and trust me, the third times a charm. I've tried this one and I'm embarrassed to say, this Marine got his butt kicked in 7 minutes so I would consider one to add to the boot camp workouts book.
