We all know that the quickest and easiest way to lose weight, particularly around our tummy area is to diet and exercise. Eat healthy food and the weight will fall off and exercising at least three times each week will make a massive difference to how you look and feel.
However, many people find that even after a period of diet and exercise they can't get that defined stomach they so desperately want. So how can you achieve great results? Read on...
Banish the Bloat
Many people don't realise how many foods cause bloating in your stomach, fizzy diet drinks and some fruits can cause a build up of acid in the stomach so no matter how hard you have worked on those abs the chemical reaction in your stomach has caused it to push out and make you look bigger than you actually are.
Here are some top tips for banishing the bloat:
On rising drink hot water with lemon or a herbal tea - this has a great effect on your stomach and cleans your system ready for the day.
Eat in small amounts - 5 or 6 small meals are better than 3 large ones. Eating 3 large meals will slow down your metabolism
Drink a glass of iced water and some raw fruit or vegetables before each meal, your body has to work harder to process the raw fruit or vegetables, they remove toxins and stave your hunger.
Drink at least 7 glasses of ice cold water everyday - your body has to work hard to heat the cold water up to body temperature therefore burning calories in the process.
Eat dinner early and never after 8pm. This gives your body chance to process the food before you go to bed.
Make your last meal the lightest of the day.
