Healthy Eating
Eating healthy entails eating 5-8 servings of fresh fruit and vegetables daily. The fresher the better because you get the most amount of minerals and nutrients compared to processed or cooked foods.
When cooking foods, select broiled, baked and raw salads as opposed to fried and processed foods. Stay away from foods that are high in calories, sugars, salts, saturated fats and cholesterol.
Portion size is also important to monitor. By choosing smaller plates you are forced to consume less and if you wait awhile you may not even want seconds. Some people eat a few nuts before a meal to increase satiety which makes them feel full faster. Remember that you can always go back for more if you so desire.
Exercise
Exercise is any form of movement when one is referring to losing weight. This can range from walking to running or active sport. The benefits are numerous and the mind and body are rejuvenated. The American Heart Association recommends 10,000 steps per day. Everyone should get at least 60 minutes of exercise per day.
One of the driving forces for many overweight individuals is a boost of energy. Most overweight people have no or very low energy levels. By adding an energy supplement to your regime, you can find the energy to increase physical activity levels and elevate the mood to keep moving. Always consume 8 glasses of water a day to properly hydrate your body.
Supplementation
Supplements are great to take when doing natural weight loss programs. Most overweight individuals are nutrient-deficient because they do not consume balanced diets. Their diets are comprised mainly of processed foods.
Popular supplements recommended by Weight Loss physicians include Omega 3 fatty acids, CoQ, potent multivitamins and energy boosters. These provide excellent heart and cardiovascular support, lower cholesterol, improve energy, add skin and mood support.
