3 Tips to Eat More to Lose Weight
Have you tried lots of diets and other ways to lose weight with little or no success? Many of these diets probably left you feeling hungry, which led you to eat more and end up frustrated, right? I've been there MANY times!
What if I told you that it IS POSSIBLE to eat more to lose weight?
I'm sure you're thinking that I have no idea what I'm talking about since everybody knows you have to eat LESS to lose weight. That's simply NOT true! Eating less will lead to failure.
Here are 3 tips that are PROVEN through scientific research and my personal experience!
Follow these tips and YOU will be on the road to weight loss success!
Tip 1: Eat More Fruits and Vegetables
The first tip to eat more to lose weight is to eat more fruits and vegetables. I know, you're thinking this is just common sense. But, how many of us actually follow through with this when we diet? Fruits and vegetables give your body most of the nutrients it needs. Aside from the nutrient properties, they are lower in calories so you can eat as much of them as you want! The only vegetables you should limit are the starchy vegetables like potatoes, cooked carrots, butternut squash, and corn. Fruits and vegetables should be the core of your diet, with leafy green and cruciferous vegetables (such as broccoli and cauliflower) included with each meal.
Right now you are probably thinking, "I just don't like many fruits and vegetables!" If this is the case for you, make it a point to try 1 or 2 new fruits or vegetables each week. Remember, it takes several times of trying a new food before your tastebuds decide if they like it or not. You might be surprised at how many delicious varieties of foods exist! Start incorporating more and more fruits and vegetables into your daily menu. Before you know it, you will be eating lots of delicious, nutritious food without feeling guilty! You can eat more to lose weight!

Tip 2: Skip the Salt
The second tip to eat more and lose weight is to skip the salt and check out the sodium content of the foods you eat.
But I love salt on my food! It gives it flavor!
That simply ISN'T TRUE! Salt actually hides the real flavor of foods.Foods may taste bland at first, but that's because salt diminishes your sense of taste. When you start getting your sense of taste back, you will taste many delicious flavors that you never noticed in your diet. If you do need to add seasoning to some dishes, there are many wonderful salt-free seasonings out there. Have fun trying them in different recipes. Without the salt clouding your tastebuds, you will find that fruit tastes sweeter, and you may discover that you actually like the taste of vegetables!
I know from experience, if you switch to low sodium foods, the weight will come off MUCH more easily!
Tip 3: Focus on Nutrient-Rich Foods
The third tip to eat more food and lose weight is to focus on nutrient-rich foods. Do you ever wonder why you still feel hungry after eating something sugary or high carb? That's your body telling you that it needs more nutrition. Our bodies are very good at telling us what they need. We just need to learn to listen to the subtle messages. When you cut sugar from your diet and focus on giving your body more high-nutrient foods (such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and beans), you'll find you have more energy, and look and feel lighter. On a nutrient-dense diet your body will be MORE COOPERATIVE when it comes to weight loss. You will find that your body is better able to function, and will naturally find its ideal weight.
Now you know it IS possible to eat more to lose weight. By incorporating more fruits and vegetables into your diet, skipping the salt, and focusing on nutritional content, you will find it easier to lose weight and still enjoy lots of delicious foods!
