Looking For A Quick Way To Lose Weight? You May Want To Makeover Your Fridge

Admit it: the one place that you can never stop yourself from raiding is the fridge. You can skip cooking altogether by eating out, but eventually you will find yourself standing at the refrigerator with its door open, and you trying to find something in it to chow down. Unfortunately, if you have stocked the cooler with all things fattening, then this can reflect on your expanding waistline as well. So if you are looking for an easy and quick way to lose weight, you might want to chuck out a few things on the fridge shelves and replace these with far healthier and waist friendly alternatives. Here are a few tips you can use to give your fridge a makeover.

1. Fill your vegetable trays with all things fresh, colorful and leafy as opposed to stocking your freezer with all things processed. Make sure that you have all sorts of your favorite fresh vegetables and fruits in the cooler so that you are more tempted to eat or cook these, rather than simply choosing frozen dinners and snacks (which usually has 100% more calories than fresh produce) and popping these in the microwave.

The same goes for your freezer, actually. Instead of buying pre-marinated, ready to cook food items, you might want to choose fresh meat instead. You can always add your own flavorings and marinades later on, but you do not have to consume the waist-expanding preservatives and extenders that normally come with processed food.

2. Spice up your shelves, literally. According to a lot of studies, inherent heat from spicy food like capsicum (pepper) can actually be used to burn calories while you eat. Aside from the fact that the burn on your tongue speeds up metabolism, this also helps prevent you from overindulging on spicy food which slashes your calorie intake considerably. So instead of keeping a selection of fattening condiments in your fridge like mayo, ranch dressing and heavy cream, you might want to opt for capsicum-based relishes, spicy salsa, and bottled spices in brine (e.g. jalapeƱo.)

Follow this advice and you will be on the path to a quick way to lose weight.
