Exercise and Diet is the Best Way to Lose Weight


There are many people from all over the world who face the problem of obesity. The main culprit of this is the sedentary lifestyle that people lead where the maximum time is spent sitting in front of the computer or television. In obesity, unwanted wants accumulate in the body and this causes many health problems. Obesity causes diseases of the heart, lungs, digestion and also the reproductive system of an individual. The results of obesity can be fatal and thus, one needs to be careful about the problem and take care to treat it in time before it is too late.

There are two important things that one needs to be careful of when they want to lose weight and get rid of their obesity. Diet has a major role to play in the person increasing weight. There are many doctors and experienced people from all over the world who have concluded that consumption of high calorie food is the major cause of accumulation of fat in the human body. This leads to the formation of cellulites which causes weight rise. Drinking too much of aerated drinks and especially at the time of the meals is a very wrong habit and this is a major cause of obesity in many people today. Too much intake of desserts and puddings and cakes and chocolates also needs to be avoided.

One has to have a lot of fruits and vegetables as these are healthy and have a low fat content. Having fiber rich food and food low in carbohydrate content is also very good for the body and helps in weight loss. Dieting in no way implies eating less or starving and this should be avoided at all costs as this can have other problems. One should have a well balanced nutritious diet. It is important to have small meals at regular intervals rather than one or two heavy meals as this is not good for the body at all and it affects the metabolism causing weight gain. 

It is not possible to lose weight by dieting alone and this has to be accompanied by physical activity and exercise also. It is seen that people who do not engage in any physical activity are the ones who tend to put on weight. Sedentary lifestyle is a major contributing factor to obesity. Working at the desk and watching television at home results in lack of physical exercise and this causes accumulation of fat in the body and results in an individual being overweight.

Obesity is ignored by many people till one reaches a state where it becomes very difficult to lose weight. A combination of diet and exercise is the first and rather the most important step that one has to take in order to avoid their problem of obesity. Though there are various methods available for weight loss, but unless and until one controls their diet and do not exercise daily, there is no way to lose weight. A healthy lifestyle is the key to weight loss.
