Easiest and fastest way to lose weight and maintain it forever.

Easiest and fastest way to lose weight and maintain it forever.

Why does it seem that most people have such a hard time losing that extra weight and getting to the body that they really want? More and more people seem to have the common goal of losing that extra weight, so much so that the weight loss industry has become a multi million dollar venture and is growing every day, picking the right way to lose weight can be very confusing. I have a few suggestions from my own personal experience that will help you to finally shed those extra pounds and achieve that special body look that you have been striving for.

Start Losing Weight Today..........
Getting Your Mind Right: Now I'm not going to tell you that you can just think yourself thin and the weight will just fall off, you know much better than that. But, I will tell you that you need to make a subconscious suggestion to your mind to provide direction and motivation. Focus and concentration are keys to your success in almost any undertaking. With that in mind, you should create a mental picture of how you want yourself to look when you are at your ideal weight and focus on that image consistently.Focus on the picture you created in your mind every day like clockwork. The purpose of holding this mental image in your mind is that it gives your subconscious mind a focus point and you will respond more favorably to the embedded suggestion as you picture the image in your mind by repetition.

It is sort of like embedding the exact image of how you would like to look into your mind , remember that the subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between what is real and what is not. The repeated visualization impresses your desire on your subconscious mind and it will engage to produce the results you pictured in your mind. The mind plays a very important part in your being able to achieve any goal you want to reach such as losing weight or anything else. Alright, enough with the mental stuff, just do the visualization and you will be shocked at the difference it will make.

Here is the meat and potatoes(forgive the pun) of the five ways to lose weight:
First of all, I will say that your body is an incredibly adaptable masterpiece able to withstand almost any reasonable demand placed on it. Your body will burn the stored fat cells on it for energy and normal bodily functions as this becomes necessary. So the real way to lose weight is to make this happen on a consistent basis. Some methods of making this happen are more efficient than others, but, it goes without saying that there are many ways to do this. Here are 5 ways that I have found to be very efficient(they work best if you do all of them):
1. Eat three meals every day, but during these meals chew your food slowly and pay attention to your body during this time. You will notice a sensation of approaching fullness- this is when it is time to stop eating. A lot of people do not notice this because they eat too fast and this results in habitual overeating at almost every meal. When you pay attention and listen to the signals your body is sending, you don't have to count calories or anything like that because your body will tell you when it has had enough to eat. Some people do this and don't even realize it, this minor adjustment in how you eat can have a large effect on your ability to control your weight.
2. Make sure you drink six eight ounce glasses of water every day and cut down on the caffeine. Make sure the caffeinated beverages you drink do not contain sugar. I once was drinking about 5 to 6 regular sodas with sugar per day. Stop this habit and it can lose you 5 pounds per week.
3. Get at least 7 to 8 hours of rest per night, this helps in restoring the metabolism from the days activities and assists your body functions to gain stability and synchronization. The body will function with more efficiency and increased metabolism and therefore burn more excess calories and fat.
4. Don't take the elevator, you were designed to provide your own power and your body is very well equipped to do this. The modern world has many conveniences that are nice, but tend to make us lazy sometimes. Just think of all the little conveniences we take for granted.
5. Yea, you need to exercise, no need to start training for that ironman triathlon, but you have to exercise your body on a regular basis. The key to this is to start slowly and do your exercise on a consistent basis. I recommend 3 to 4 times a week with some type of aerobic exercise and some strength training to keep your muscle mass and tone. Choose a physical activity you like and continue doing it on a regular basis. I jog 4 times a week and mix in some good old fashioned pushups and bicycle crunches.
I once struggled with my weight for years, I used to weigh about 260 pounds and was grossly overweight. I lost almost 100 pounds( I now weigh 165 pounds) and have been within 5 pounds of that weight for the last 20 years. Believe me when I say that I have tried almost every way of losing weight on the planet. It was not until I put these 5 things together that I achieved a consistent and healthy weight that was manageable over the long term. If you do these 5 simple steps you will see results quickly and if you continue to do them, they will become your key to reaching and maintaining your ideal weight for years to come.
