10 Ways to Lose Weight Quickly
Losing weight doesn't have to be hard, and losing weight quickly definitely doesn't have to be impossible. Here are 10 ways to do accomplish it:
1. Eat 500 Less Calories a Day. To lose 1 pound of FAT, not water, a week, you need to eat 500 calories less than your maintenance calories a day. Doing that will help you lose weight and get in amazing shape without having a diet that is too complicated. Ultimately, the basic idea is "eating less."
2. Keep a journal. Keeping a journal of your diet puts YOU in control of your diet. You are able to experiment SCIENTIFICALLY based on FACTS if things are going wrong or not. Then you will get the right idea of whether or not what you're currently doing to lose weight is working.
3. Don't starve yourself. Don't try to lose 20 pounds in a week. Starving yourself might work in the short term - but you'll most likely put the weight back on. This is called "the butterfly" affect. You'll want to avoid this by eating like you did with only a little less or eating more of foods with less calories.
4. Have a role model. Having a role model who was overweight and lost the weight is a great way to keep yourself motivated and lose the weight. After all, if someone else can do it - why can't you?
5. Eat less carbs. For many people, low carb high fat diets have been shown to really help people cross that bridge from weight gaining to weight loss. Atkins really does work for many people.
6. Have a support group. Having a support group of people going through the same thing as you is a great way to keep yourself motivated and make sure you'll be able to reach your goals. Alternatively, try hanging out with people who are already fit and try to mimic their good eating habits.
7. Procrastinate. Really. Procrastinating can be a great way to succeed at your diet, if used correctly. Remember, you have all the time in the world to eat junk and cake - so why not not do it today? Procrastinating is a method that can be used for good and for bad - so use it for good!
8. Buy a motivational poster. Buy a motivational poster and hang it up in your eating area. This will help you get motivated to lose weight when you most need the motivation.
9. Exercise. Using exercises to lose weight is a great way to tone your body, avoid the skinny-fat syndrome and blowtorch fat. Some good exercises are the high intensity interval training and the burpees to lose weight.
10. Swim. Swimming is one of, if not THE highest calorie burning workout available. It also forces you to worry about how you look in a swimsuit. So if you want to lose weight - hit the pool. Do it before a meal though so that you don't eat an extra meal from the hunger from the swimming.
