ARE MOST MODERN DIETS EFECTIVE?
· Most modern diets cause you to reduce your food consumption, resulting in less nutritional intake.
· Most modern diets provide a quick fix solution instead of a permanent lifetime fix.
· Most modern diets are design to accommodate your current life style instead of restructuring it.
· Modern diets fail to address the real cause of being overweight.
· Modern diets today promote unnatural solutions for losing weight.
THINGS THAT CAUSE YOU TO GAIN WEIGHT
· Not consuming the right amount of nutrients.
Note: A nutrient is something that the body needs to obtain in order to maintain itself functioning properly. The lack of nutrients can result in gaining weight and your body will not function properly. The body considers nutrients food, and if the body is not getting the right amount of nutrients from the food you are consuming it will automatically store fat. The body stores fat in order to protect itself in the case of a food shortage. Today we have nutritional shortages in the foods we eat and therefore our body feels hungry most of the time. This hunger leads us to unconsciously give the body a quick fix by consuming foods that are deficient in nutrients. The end result of this process leads to weight gain and poor health.
Note: One of the steps I took towards increasing my nutritional intake was to buy organically grown foods. Organically grown foods obtain more valuable nutrients than foods that are genetically modify or, grown in mineral deficient soil. The soil provides minerals to the crops. The richer in minerals the soil is, the more nutrients the food grown in it will have. Organic farms take the necessary measures to maintain the soil rich in minerals and free of toxic chemicals.
Another step I took was to eliminate the consumption of proses foods. Food loses valuable nutrients by being process. These nutrients are essential for the body to be able to properly process the food. When the food you eat is deficient in nutrients, the body robs other parts of your body in order to process the food the food you ate. For instance take refine sugar. The body robs your teeth and bones for the calcium it needs to process the sugar.
Another step I took was to learn how to properly cook food. Food may lose almost all its nutritional value just by cooking it the wrong way. I try to always cook in very low heat and for a very specific time. Slow cookers are perfect for preserving valuable nutrients in the food you cook. I also use ingredients that add nutritional value to the food I am cooking. For instance I would use organic coconut oil, organic olive oil, and organic spices that provide good health benefits, like black cumin, chili powder, curry powder, nutmeg, and so on. I also started to consume more raw organic fruits and vegetables.
To top off all the steps I took towards increasing my nutritional intake I also started taking dietary supplements that will support my new healthy lifestyle.
· Letting circumstances dictate the types of foods you eat.
Note: Most people today are accustomed to not being in control. This is the reason why the majority of people are being governed by the few. Not being in control is the norm in today’s society, but it shouldn’t be. Not being in control allows us to be victims of circumstances. To avoid this, we must do three things. One, look and learn from pass experiences. Two, look towards the future and see where you want to be. Three, take action in the present base on your pass experiences and on the future views of where you want to be. If you cannot see ahead you will not know where you’re going. Now if you didn’t learn from your pass experiences you will lack the knowledge that will take you where you want to go.
To avoid letting circumstances dictate the types of foods you will eat plan ahead and always take your food with you. It might seem weird to take your own lunch to the mall but it is the best thing you can do for yourself. The food at the mall is usually over prize and of poor quality. I rather take my lunch and have more money to buy what I need. I usually plan my meals five days in advance which makes food something less to worry about. Try to plan what you are going to eat before you go shopping for food. This will allow you to only buy what you need and at the same time saving you money. Don’t do what I did when I first started doing this, planning your five days in advance while hungry and walking thru the isle. BIG-BIG MISTAKE.
· Not having a clear understanding on the purpose of different types of foods.
Note: The purpose you give to the food you eat will determine what that food will do for you. If you feel that food is a flavor satisfier, you will eat favorable foods. If you believe the purpose of food is to make you feel full, you will eat just to be full. If you believe that the purpose of food is for having a good time, then you will eat just to have a good time even if you’re not hungry at the time.
The purpose of something is determined by the authenticity of the end result. The authenticity of the end result is determined by the positive reaction of sustainability. Sustainability is determined by how well is the interaction with all things. How well the interaction is will be determined by how authentic the end result, are in relation with a particular main purpose.
I have come to understand that the main purpose of life and existence is to sustain it. The job of integrating all things with each other has been given to conscience beings. The nature and main purpose of all things sees to it that we fulfill our main purpose by pushing upon us their main purpose. Any time you violate the main purpose of things you are given clues that indicate that your actions are not acceptable. If you choose to make even more unacceptable actions the more pressure you will receive to stop forcing things to act against their own nature. The more we learn about the true nature of something the better we can integrate with other things to further enhance their capability and effectiveness.
The purpose of food is to provide the body with valuable nutrition. The more you learn on the nature and properties of different types of foods, the better you can protect the nature of their main purpose. Providing the body with a large variety of different types of foods in a combination that does not compromise its main purpose is the key towards optimum health. The more you know about your body the better you can integrate your body with the proper food without compromising each other’s main purpose.
· Not knowing what types of foods your body is allergic too.
Note: Some of the symptoms that may occur due to an allergic reaction are, runny nose, watery and itchy eyes, itchy skin, problems breathing, itchy throat, diarrhea, headaches that may cause a person to feel dizzy and lightheaded.
Have you ever sat down to eat and after several minutes into your food you start to sniff due to a runny nose, that is an allergic reaction. This allergic reaction may be due to, the way the food was cooked, the chemicals in the food, the unnatural stage of the food, or the improper combination of the food.
· Consuming food products that are loaded with toxic ingredients.
Note: A toxic chemical can compromise the ability for our body to control our appetite and weight. MSG and aspartame are two addictive’s used as flavor enhancers that cause our body to feel hungry after we ate.
Growth hormones given to animals to fatten them tend to end up in our body. Imagine trying to lose weight by consuming a vast amount of meat loaded with growth hormones. Chances are you will gain weight due to the growth hormone. If you obtain your protein and iron from meats, try to buy organic meats that are not loaded with toxic antibiotics, and growth hormones.
· Not taking the time to do some type of physical activities that will allow you to burn fat calories.
Note: Exercise is very important for losing weight. Exercising allows the body to detoxify itself thru ought, the oxygenation and improvement of the blood flow. Let me share with you a passage from Gary Null’s book, Ultimate Life Time Diet, title How exercise helps over the long haul. " Over the long term, exercise helps us to normalize weight; lessen our percentage of body fat; enhance enzymatic activity and hence better utilize our food; and speed up peristalsis, which is the wavelike intestinal movement that gets food waste moving out of the system as it should. Exercise also enhances energy and brings more blood to our skin, giving us a more youthful glow.
When a person takes the time and effort to be on a proper exercise program, that attention to personal needs will generally flow over into other areas of life. A person who undertakes a regular exercise program is more likely to eat in a healthful way and to be conscious of other health needs, such as stress control and the avoidance of environmental toxins. The long-term result is likely to be more vigorous, longer life."
