How NOT to lose weight
My Aunt proudly announced to me last year that she was had bought something fabulous online to help her lose weight...A TAPEWORM!!! I nearly choked! Believe it or not, people are actually still going for these crazy methods of weight loss. A popular one doing the rounds at the moment is 'fasting'.
Fasting may be necessary if you're trying to atone for the sin of not researching the topic of weight loss carefully, but generally, don't get too radical with your methods.
Yes to Chili, No to Salt!
One of the number one reasons people want to lose weight is for an upcoming wedding, or visit from an old friend. It's the old 'Oh my God! I need to lose 5 kgs in a week!' scenario.
Now, 5kgs is a lot, but it's not unachievable. The first thing you should do regardless of how rapidly you need to lose weight, is to start introducing chili into your diet. It's a wonderful digestive, and increases your body's metabolic rate for a few hours after eating it.
The other trick (particularly effective if you need an instant bit of weight loss) is to completely eliminate salt from your diet. This will have the effect of less water retention..hence, less weight.
