CONTOUR ABS: The Easy Ab Toning Belt

Exercising Made Simple

I wish my genetic makeup allowed me to develop six-pack abs.  I can lose weight, exercise like crazy, but still not develop the definition I’d like. Like anything else, the results usually mirror the effort put forth, especially in muscle toning. Crunches, sit-ups and working out at the gym, while useful, generally become boring. Wouldn’t it be great to lay down in something like a tanning bed and emerge with the toned body you’ve always wanted?  The Contour Abs Belt is the closest thing I’ve seen to actually getting a toned body without killer exercise. What could be better than giving your abs a super workout while watching a ball game on the couch?

Electronic Muscle Stimulation
The Contour Abs Belt fits around your waistline and emits electronic pulses that cause the abdominal muscles to contract. Apparently, these contractions have the same effect on the abs as sit-ups or crunches would. The repeated muscle contractions cause the abdominal and oblique muscles to tighten, and you to lose inches around your midsection. There has been a lot of research into the effectiveness of the Contour Ab Belt and other devices using electronic stimulation for muscle toning. It seems the medical consensus is that they are useful in toning your abdominal core, but they don’t burn fat. So, while the Contour Abs Belt helps to flatten your stomach, dieting still seems to be the answer for getting rid of the belly flab. In other words, eating ice cream while using the Contour Abs Belt would be counter productive.

If It's Good Enough For The FDA...
The Contour Abs Belt has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration. One of the major drawbacks of many products advertised online is that they often lack this regulatory seal of approval. The seal of approval from the FDA may not guarantee success, but it at least guarantees accountability, which I find comforting.
As a middle age American, it seems only right that I own one of these. I just wish that the Contour Abs Belt was covered under Medicare or Social Security. It’s about $15 for a 30 day trial, then around $200 spread over four months to complete the purchase. The thought of being able to sit on the couch and exercise my middle really does sound appealing. I guess I’d have to give up the ice cream though.
