Are you overweight? Suffer from obesity?
I used to weigh 427 lbs several years ago, until I found a diet that worked for me. It was hard work, but I stuck with a diet plan that was designed specifically for me. With the diet and an exercise plan, I lost a total of 238 lbs in a little over 2 years. It is my aim with this hub to give some general advice of tips and tricks I used to lose that weight.
Choosing An Obesity Diet
There are many obesity diets available and choosing the right one can be a intimidating task. Many things are necessary to consider when choosing a weight loss program that works for you. Does it work? Can I make the changes necessary to achieve weight loss? Will it starve it me to death?
Research
Researching weight loss programs is a very important step when choosing the right diet plan. Evaluate carefully what the program promises and what the actual results are.
Set Realistic Goals
It is now that you should select a starting date for your weight loss program. Select a date that will be easy for you to start. You don't want to begin your weight loss when there are added stresses around. During this phase you should set some realistic goals that can be achieved. Set goals of how much weight you want to lose in a month, .... in 6 months, etc. Setting these goals will help you focus on getting to the weight you want.
Exercise
Whether we like it or not, exercise is vital to losing weight. Exercising will act as a natural anti-depressant and make you feel better. Some have difficulty exercising do their size and lack of having exercised. This was my case. Starting out slowly and not overdoing yourself is important. As you build stamina, you can incorporate more difficult exercises. Walking, even for short distances is good exercise. The key is to just start getting active. This in turn will motivate after you start getting accustomed to it. There are even exercises you can learn to strengthen muscles and decrease hunger.
Keep a Daily Journal
Keep a journal of your daily diet and measure your calories. Record your weight in your journal. Just keep monitoring yourself to stay on path towards your goals.
Establish a Support Group
It is also important to establish a good support group. There are many obesity diet support groups available and some are even included in diet programs. Having a good support group of family, and friends can help you stay on track toward your goals.
Evaluate and Make Changes
If you need to alter your goals to keep losing weight, be prepared to. Adjusting your goals and making them more realistic and achievable is a good change.
Benefits of Weight Loss
There are many benefits from losing weight. A healthier lifestyle is perhaps the most important one. The other benefits of a good obesity weight loss program are:
Better breathing
More energy
Aids in movement
Natural anti-depressant
Lowers your cholesterol
Reduces your blood pressure
Reduces your risk factors for heart disease and stroke
Reduces chances of type II diabetes
Naturally reduces your aches and pains
Lifts your self esteem and confidence
All these benefits lead to a happier and healthier life. No more wondering how others will judge you. No more worries about weight loss. Having a strong will and desire to achieve your goals will pay off by making you feel naturally better.
The Best Obesity Diet That Worked For Me
The diet that worked for me was a personalized diet plan that allowed me to still eat things I liked. I didn't have to starve, just control my portions and retrain my thinking. I avoided certain foods that I knew were not good for me, because I learned more about the foods I eat. There are even foods out there now at the local supermarket that are healthier versions of the stuff I love and they actually taste good. I learned a lot of techniques to help me lose weight easily. I provided a link below to give you more information about the diet I used. I tried many diet plans that did not work, but once I tried this one there was no looking back.
