How to burn body fat

FAT BURNING FURNACE

Ever notice all of the confusing information around about burning fat? The biggest confusion lies in the method -- how to best burn body fat. There is confusion about what method works and what is a waste of time and money. Also, why are these methods that are deemed worthless and a waste of time that way. Proof of all this confusion lies in the increasing memberships at the gyms across the country.

Here these people are, day after day, working themselves ragged on treadmills, ellipticals and stair climbers, trying to shed those calories and burn that fat. Maybe they are lifting weights for hours each week, trying to build up some muscle and strength. Then there are aerobics classes. All signs of the confusing amount of information about the ways and means of burning fat.

SHORT TERM WEIGHT LOSS IS NOT EFFECTIVE

Just to make things even more confusing, these exercise buffs turn to the latest dieting trends, being told that this diet or that diet strategy will be the miracle weight loss strategy that is the answer to their every fat burning wish. Is your head spinning yet? It gets worse. Add to this strange mix of misinformation all of the dietary supplements claiming to be the last thing you will ever need to take (more likely spend money on) in order to lose weight or burn fat. And what do these people use to monitor their progress in weight loss? Their bathroom scale. Very scientific.

If their bathroom scale shows that they have put on a couple of pounds, they panic or think that their latest strategy isn't working, so they change what they do. They go after another miracle pill or supplement, or they change their workout routine. If they check their scale again, and they have not lost the weight they were looking to, or burned the fat they wanted, they change things again. On and on it goes.

Believe it or not, this is what all of those fitness gurus and experts that you see on television tell you works to lose weight and burn fat. But, having all of these strategies thrown at us from every corner of existence, it is no wonder that we all go overboard in our workouts, our dietary supplements, and our quest for that perfect fat-free body.

Being so muddled with so many different strategies from all of these so-called gurus, we begin to get lost when it comes to knowing what really works to help us burn our unnecessary fat and lose the weight we want. We are talking life-long fitness and health. What really happens with any diet, nutrition and exercise plan is that you will lose some weight starting out, but then it stops. You stop losing weight, or you don't lose it as fast as you'd like. That's because of the attitude of the person trying to lose the weight. They are thinking short term. They want ot lose weight now, and fast, and are giving no thought to how to achieve these results over their lifettime. What happens is, they fixate on a single goal, and when that isn't acheived quickly enough, they move on to something else. They keep moving around, achieving nothing, getting frustrating, believing nothing works, then give up on themselves.

LIFE-LONG DIET & EXERCISE

So, can you see now why most people fail at trying to lose weight? All of the choices, all of the claims, but none of them focus on the important aspects of proper weight loss, that of achieving a life-long habit of proper diet and exercise. This includes exercising far more than is necessary, and when they do exercise, it is too lightly, without the intensity the body needs each time you exercise it, while following an incompatible diet plan.

The solution is obvious. Forget the short-term, lose fifteen pounds by wedding day mentality. Instead, begin working on a long term commitment to proper dieting and exercise. Begin thinking of weight loss more as weight maintainance or weight control. This "lifestyle", as it should be named, would Involve working on brief, intense training that progresses as you get used to things, Add to this a diet of nutrient-rich foods, getting used to the habit of drinking a lot of water, and of course, coupling all that with the right amount of good sleep and general rest period.
