Fast Way To Lose Weight
Thanks for coming by and joining me on our quest to learn how to lose weight quickly! From what I’ve learned, the fast way to lose weight is neither using quick-fix diets nor strenuous bursts of exercise (which I’m sure you’ll be pleased to know). Our body much prefers slow changes in terms of food and exercise which suits me fine. Losing weight is not easy, but by making a few quite easy changes to your lifestyle you can get begin losing weight quickly and safely. By far the most effective way to do this is to reduce the amount of calories you eat and, at the same time, increase your levels of activity.
From my research and talking to dieting experts here are ways to reduce your calorie intake without having to alter your diet significantly:
Shake your head at those fruit cordials and soda drinks and replace them with water.
Try and swap whole milk for semi-skimmed milk, or semi-skimmed for skimmed if you can.
Make an effort to eat less lunch than you normally would. I make my own sandwiches and limit the use of margarine/butter and full-fat mayonnaise (remember store-bought sandwiches often contain both of these fat-inducing substances).
Reduce your sugar levels in your coffee, or better still stop adding sugar altogether.
Make an effort to eat smaller portions of the food you enjoy.
Avoid having second helpings, especially with your evening meal.
Try and avoid those unhealthy treats, such as confectionary, sugary biscuits and crisps, between meals.
Cutting down on the amount of beer and alcohol you drink will help as well.
Unfortunately there are no shortcuts to losing weight in a fast and reasonable way. You should think of your weight loss in longer terms like permanently changing your eating habits. While weight-loss goals tend to be set in term of weeks, your end game is to sustain these changes over the coming months and years.
However, don't be tempted to skip breakfast, or any other meal for that matter, just to lose weight. While skipping a meal will reduce your calorie intake for an hour or so, it will leave you much hungrier later on. Not only are you likely to over-eat to compensate for those sudden hunger pangs, but you'll often be tempted to make bad choices to fill the gap. Irregular eating habits may also disrupt your body's metabolism, which makes it so much harder for you to lose weight. Secondly, try to increase your activity levels. Those folk who increases the amount of time and effort they exercise, but maintain the same calorie intake, will almost certainly lose weight over time.
Even if you hate gyms, light exercise, such as a short twenty minutes walk, most days of the week will be greatly beneficial. There are countless ways to increase the activity you do. Team sports, racket sports, aerobics classes, running, walking, swimming and cycling will all improve your fitness levels. All these things will influence your health in a positive way. At the end of the day it is not taking pills or fad diets, but losing weight in a healthy way that is going to make you lose your weight fast.
