Other types of fasting would be the fasting process of colon cleansing. The water you take during fasting should be clinically pure and make sure to take between eight to ten glasses a day. This will loosen and remove any fine foods stuck at the linings of your digestive system. Also water will dilute salt components which make the body to retain a lot of water making your cells extra turgid hence weight gain.

If you are not used to fasting, don’t rush into it but you can start with short periods of say like one day or skipping a meal. Substitute the skipped meal with fruit juice with no sugar of merely take water. Don’t compensate the meal you skipped in the next meal but just like in the case of full fasting, be careful to break every fast with light meals. Don’t remain dormant during fasting but also do light or moderate exercise. During the fasting, keep a record of your weight details so that you get to know how much you have lost.
