Proper Nutrition
The first thing you need to do is to change your eating and nutrition habits. You'll definitely need to start drinking more water. Your body needs water, and most people are chronically dehydrated and so they may not even realize it, but if you're wanting to lose weight quick, then you need to drink more water. It is recommended that you drink half of your body weight in ounces. So if you weigh 180 pounds, then you should be drinking 90 ounces of water every single day. You should also eliminate any foods that are high in sodium, sugars, or fat from your diet. These are counterproductive to your weight loss goals. Eat fruits and vegetables and other foods that are higher in protein and higher in fiber.
Exercise Is Necessary
A fast weight loss diet just won't cut it though. You need to incorporate the right kinds of exercises into your daily routine if you're really wanting to lose weight at a fast pace. Don't just do aerobic exercise or cardio, like running on the treadmill. Your body adjust pretty quickly to that and therefore will not burn nearly as many calories as it needs to in order to lose weight. If you insist on doing cardio, then you'll at least need to to do interval training. That will keep your body guessing, but the main exercises you should do should be resistance exercises. Using weights or other forms of resistance help you to build up your muscle mass, which in turn, helps to burn fat at a faster rate.
