Fast Weight Loss Guide and Tips


Are you struggling to lose weight? Do you have an important event coming up such as your wedding, the summer, a high school reunion, or maybe you're just fed up with being overweight? You may have heard the fast weight loss claims of some products or diet pills, but you are unsure of whether or not they work. My experience is that they don't work, and if they do, it is only for a short term, and they usually do lasting harm to your body.

If you want to learn how to truly lose weight quickly, then you have come to the right place. I will walk you through the major components of being able to lose weight fast, and if you follow my tips, you'll be losing weight in no time!

Eating Right

Yah yah, eat healthy, you already know that. Well, what you think you know may actually not be helpful at all in your goal to lose weight. Many people who want to lose weight quick try to starve themselves and that is not a healthy or helpful option. If you try to starve yourself then as soon as you do eat food your body will store it immediately and actually add to your weight and fat, since your body doesn't know when it will get food again. People also eat only one type of food (think cookie diet or lemonade fast) but you will never get the proper balance of nutrients that you need with those types of diets.

Instead, you just need to make smart choices and exercise portion control and you'll see your weight start dropping and you'll feel better than you ever have. The first key is to eat 6 times a day! yes, I am telling you to eat more often! This may seem counter-productive to your goal of losing weight fast, but it actually helps. If you eat 6 smaller meals throughout the day, your body stays in a state of metabolism and therefore it helps to burn fat faster than it would.

The other things you should focus on is getting a protein (meats) and some carbs (pasta, potatoes) and a lot of fruits and veggies. By focusing on those 3 things in a meal 3 times a day, and 3 healthy snacks throughout the day, you'll be loosing weight quickly.

Also, stay away from high-fat foods, as well as high-calorie foods. You'll also want to stay away from foods that are high in sugar and sodium because those won't help you.

Proper Exercise

Proper exercise is another key component of fast weight loss.  You will want to combine cardio and resistance training to maximize your weight loss.

The first thing you want to do is a little bit of cardio for warmup.  This is all of the cardio that you need.  Some people try to run for long periods or they try to go on the treadmill or elliptical for hours to try to lose weight.  The problem is that your body adapts to the motions needed for running and such cardio machines, and so your body becomes efficient at those exercises.  That diminishes your weight loss attempts.  If you just use cardio as a warm up for your exercises, then you will get the maximum amount of fast weight loss results.

Your main focus should be on resistance training.  The most popular form of resistance training is lifting weights or using weight machines.  There are other types.  You can use resistance bands if you don't want to lift weights.  You can also do body-weight resistance exercises (think pushups).  Don't worry about building muscle because muscle actually helps to burn fat faster in case you didn't know!

Final Thoughts

If you eat right, eat often, and don't eat bad things, you'll lose weight fast.  If you exercise properly, by doing some sort of resistance training after a little cardio warmup, you will begin to see solid results in your weight loss efforts and you'll be able to meet your fast weight loss goals.
