Resistance training is one of the fast ways to lose weight but many people avoid using it because they associated any sort of weight training with large muscular meat heads and that is not the shape they are going for.

This is a shame because resistance training is one of the really fast ways to lose weight when utilized correctly. 1) Ensure you maintain a calorie restricted diet in which the number of calories consumed is slightly less than daily calorie intake. 3) When in the gym and using resistance training as part of your workouts keep the resistance relatively low, at a rep range of 12-15 reps. 4) Keep up with your cardio. Do not make the mistake of being afraid of resistance training but also do not neglect your cardio either. An excellent time to get the best fat burning benefits of cardio exercise is to do it for 20-40 minutes in the morning when carbohydrate stores are naturally low, these will quickly run out and your body will then utilize the fat reserves for energy.

Getting Motivated for Fast Weight Loss

Motivation can be one of the most difficult things to get right but without it you are dead in the water. You may think you want to lose weight but until it becomes a must for you then wanting it is just a weak emotion.

You should first start of with a clear goal. Know exactly how much weight you want to lose and by when. Write it down so that it is something that you can track and measure the progress of. This goal should be realistic so factor in for 1-2lbs of weight loss per week as this is achievable.
