Some people use fasting as a means to lose weight. While fasting is good for cleansing the body, it was not originally used as a means to lose weight. Many people who use fasting as a way to lose weight quickly gain the weight back due to the type of weight that was lost. Many people lose a lot of water on the first few days of a cleanse. In addition, people lose lean muscle mass, which will return once the fast is over.
If you want fast ways to lose weight remember that it is the simple disciplines that you do daily that will create a compound effect. This and only this will keep the weight off for good. Eating at least six times per day allows the body to stay out of "starvation" mode. When you stop eating, your body thinks it is starving because it does not know when it will get its next meal. Your body will slow down its metabolism if it thinks it is starving. The best way to start eating is to continue to eat three meals a day with an added snack in between. From there, with a little planning and preparing, you will be able to create the 6 small meals with ease.
Drinking 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water will keep your body hydrated. The hydration helps to accelerate your metabolism and helps to burn more fat. The water helps your kidneys work properly. If the kidneys do not function then there is extra pressure put on the liver. If the liver has to do the kidney's work, then it can not do its own work.
If you want to get more water in your day begin by drinking up to a liter of water when you wake up. If you can remember to drink one 8 ounce glass every hour, you will most likely fulfill your quota of water for the day. Remember, sodas, teas, and any other product with sugar or caffeine do not count in that water intake because they are actually dehydrating.
Remember it is making the small, seemingly insignificant changes that create the compounded daily effect that will help you to lose weight fast and effortlessly.
