Fast Weight Loss Will Not Give You Permanent Weight Loss

Once you have decided to lose weight, your next decision is whether you want to lose weight fast or you want to lose weight permanently. A permanent weight loss program is a fat burning program and is very different than a fast weight loss diet. They take different approaches and produce different results. You will not achieve fast weight loss and permanent weight loss from doing one program.

Both have their place.

In this article, I speak about the situations to consider when deciding on a weight loss diet.

Circumstances Which May Favor a Fast Weight Loss Diet

When people search for a fast weight loss diet, it could be because:
You ate and drank too much over Christmas or during a vacation and you want to take off the weight that you gained
You want to look good for an event that is happening soon. It could be a vacation, a wedding, an important social gathering, an important meeting, or a party of some kind, etc
Summer will be coming soon and you want to look good in a bathing suit, shorts and skimpy tops.


Circumstances Which May Favor a Fat Burning Program

When people search for a fat burning program, it could be because:
Doctors have told you to lose weight because of a medical condition
You  worry that the excess weight you are carrying could bring about future medical ailments
You are healthy and fit and you want to everything possible to remain that way for your entire life
Your appearance is important to you.  You look good now ant want to continue to do so
Your career requires that be trim and fit -ie- models, athletes, dancers, actors.
You enjoy outdoor activities which require fitness and a trim body - ie - running, snow boarding/skiing, surfing, bike riding, sports 
You want to lose weight permanently


The Best Way To Lose Weight For You

Considering your circumstances, do you think that a fat burning program will suit you best or would a fast weight loss diet plan suit you better?

You can expect to lose weight, gain it back, lose weight again, gain it back again etc, by following a crash diet. Such a diet often results in gaining weight again when you are no longer on the diet. However, your circumstances may be such that rapid weight loss is what is wanted.

If you are after permanent weight loss, you would be well advised to follow a fat burning program. This gets rid of the perpetual "dieting" that many people seem to do.You should know that a diet to lose weight quickly will be easier for you to do, because a program that burns the unwanted fat on your body requires a stong commitment from you and a lot of self discipline.
