Easy weight loss tips

Depend on flavor not fat. Fat tastes good. It adds satisfying creaminess and richness to foods. Cutting down on fat, including butter, oils, salad dressing and mayonnaise leads to a thinner you. Substitute herbs and spices to foods and you won't miss the fat as much. For example in your salad add a handful of herbs like basil with a tablespoon of parmesan cheese and a squeeze of lemon and you might not even miss the salad dressing.

Exercise for thirty minutes every day. But you don't have to do it all at once. Exercise has two benefits for people trying to lose weight. Exercising burns up calories and it causes your metabolism to increase from 10% to 15% for two to four hours afterwards. You don't have to don your sweats and hit the treadmill for a 30 minute work out. The positive effects of exercise result even if you exercise for as a little as ten minutes at a time. Break that 30 minutes into three easy to fit in sessions. You can have a morning walk, an afternoon cycle session, and an evening Pilates routine and it all counts.

Cut the salt. Excess salt in your diet leads to water retention and bloat. Salt is vital to a healthy body but most of us ingest way too much salt. It's hidden everywhere in processed foods such as frozen dinners and canned soups. Many restaurants use salt as the primary flavoring ingredient. If you're used to salting everything it will be a challenge to use less. Food will taste bland for the first day or so. The best way is to go cold turkey. Don't salt anything for 72 hours and don't use any prepared foods that include salt as an ingredient. Check the labels, you'll be surprised at where you'll find salt hiding. After the 72 hours you'll most likely find that you don't want nearly the salt you used to.

No matter what diet program you use eat every three to four hours to keep your blood sugar at an even level. Follow these tips and lose weight fast.

Exercise in hot or cold weather

Exercise can help you lose weight quick.

Hot or Cold

Start a walking program no matter what the weather. If you live where it gets too hot or too cold to walk outside every day, think of alternatives. Some grocery stores have an early morning walkers club. Other walkers meet at the mall three times a week. You can use a public government building for walking. Junior Colleges and Universities have facilities that are open to the public and inside from inclement weather.

Hot weather exercise means you must drink plenty of water. Take a bottle with you. A rule of thumb is 12 to 16 ounces of water before you begin exercising, 12 to 16 ounces during exercising, and 12 to 16 ounces after you exercise. Don't wait until you feel thirsty, by that time you're probably already dehydrated.

Cold weather exercise means dressing in layers. It's better to dress in a long sleeve t-shirt, light sweater, sweatshirt, and wind breaker than in one heavy parka. As you exercise your body heats up and you can start removing layers. You can't do that with a parka. Wear gloves and a hat during brisk weather.

Sneak in extra exercise every day. Park you car at the outer edges of the parking lot both when you shop and at work. Take the stairs instead of the escalator or the elevator. If you have toddlers make a game of exercising with them. Get a sturdy stroller and go for a brisk walk. Go bicycle riding with your kids. Make a habit of walking the dog every evening.
