How to lose weight fast and accelerate fat loss in 5 easy steps!


1) DRINK WATER

Drink WATER ONLY. This is one of the most essential steps. Thirst can trick you into thinking you're hungry! Drinking soda all the time? Imagine this, you drink 8 servings of soda over the course of a day. Say one serving is around 120 calories. Thats 8*120 = 960 CALORIES A DAY that do absolutely NOTHING for you. Drinking water ONLY is by far the EASIEST way to help lose weight fast. If you chose to follow only one step, make it this one.

2) EAT WELL (MOST OF THE TIME)

You don't need to become completely vegan to eat well. You don't even have to give up chocolate cake. Eat well MOST of the time and you'll do great! There are tons of ways you can have a healtier diet. First, eat breakfast. This will help you eat less throughout the rest of the day. There are tons of healthy recipes around, but my favorite ones generally include lots of whole grains, fiber, and protein. DO NOT restrict yourself too much. This will set you up for failure. Allow yourself several cheat days or cheat meals. My favorite strategy is to eat healthy the whole day and have whatever I want for dinner (within reason of course, I do NOT want to eat 20 Tacos, but maybe I'll have 3). ALSO, DO NOT EAT NOTHING. EATING NOTHING LEADS TO FAT GAIN. WHY? Your body is an ANIMAL. If it thinks that food is scarce, it will store fat at every chance in order to ensure a good source of energy in case food completely disappears.

3) EXERCISE!

Exercise doesn't have to kill you, but it should at least make you sweat. If you're working out and not sweating, you're still doing great! BUT, if you want to accelerate your fat loss and lose weight fast you're going to need to put a little bit of hard work in. I would rather run at a brisk pace and be out of breath and wheezing after 30 minutes than to walk for an hour and half and barely sweat. Working out harder TAKES LESS TIME and helps you lose weight faster! Why? If you work out HARD you CONTINUE TO BURN CALORIES after your work out.

4) GO EASY ON YOURSELF AND PUT THE SCALE AWAY

In order to lose weight fast you CANNOT tell yourself anything negative. If you like to weigh yourself everyday, DON'T. This will only lead to disappointment. We have become so accustomed to things only requiring a few minutes to completion. Weight loss is NOT like this. You will NOT lose more than a couple of pounds a day AT BEST. A better way to measure your progress is how fast it takes you to get tired. For the ladies (and myself actually) my favorite measure of progress is a weekly or bi-monthly full body check in the mirror. You may not lose weight, but you'll definitely LOOK BETTER in that bikini if you follow steps 1 through 3.

5) SUPPORT SUPPORT SUPPORT

It can be really hard to keep to the first three steps, but when have we ever needed to do anything completely alone? Tell your friends that you're trying to lose weight and ask for some help and support! I can't tell you how many times a friend of mine has pointed out that I have a monster sized burrito in my hand or has helped me to push that little bit harder to finish a tough work out. Your friends will also be the first to notice any progress you're making. The best way to motivate yourself is to hear your friends say "Wow, you're looking really good!"
