Fat Loss - How to Lose Weight Fast

Why do we gain so much weight?

Our ancestors did not have all the privileges and comforts that we have today. Today, most of us are couch potatoes, enjoying watching TV with a bowl of popcorns in our hands. As the era has become more and more technologically advanced, manual labor has decreased many folds. As a result of which, our body does not get enough exercise. Human body is scientifically very advanced and most of it's processes are automated. When we run, walk, play some outdoor sport, our body spends a lot of calories, and these calories come from the food that we eat. If we do not indulge in physical activity such as cycling, jogging and so on, the calories which we get from food will be stored as FAT. Below are few reasons why people gain a lot of weight:
Bad Eating Habits : One very major reason of obesity is bad eating habits. These days life has become so fast that no one prefers to cook, no one prefers to buy fruits, wash them a little and eat them. People are fond of having processed food, loaded with saturated fats, trans fats and simple sugars. The truth about processed food is that, a few moment on your lips and forever on your hips. Might sound funny but this is the truth.
Stress and Lack of Rest: Studies show that too much stress causes the secretion of a hormone known as Cortisol in the body, which directly results in accumulation of more fat. So always be happy, be cheerful, take proper rest.
Lack of Exercise: As I explained earlier, exercise is very important for our bodies to function properly. Exercising does not only result in fat loss but also have many other health benefits such as a healthy heart, healthy brain and improves the overall health of a person.

Well the list can go on and on, Now let us come to the main point, How to Lose Weight Fast :
Be Confident: Being overweight can be very de-motivating but you have to have faith in yourself. Never think that you won't be able to make it. As they say, where there is a will, there is a way. So just be confident and promise to yourself that you will follow yourweight loss program with full dedication and commitment.
Have Achievable Goals: When you decide to do something, you must have a plan and a goal. Often people fail in their weight loss journey because they set unrealistic goals which can not be achieved in a jiffy. There is a very basic characteristic of a goal, a goal should be S.M.A.R.T (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely). As the words suggest, a goal should not be too big or too advanced, it should be specific. In other words, when you say you want to lose weight, you would say " I want to lose 3 kgs in 1 month" and NOT "I want to lose a lot of weight in short time." It should also be well within your reach, now you can not and must not lose 20 kgs in a month.
Diet and Caloric Intake: As I explained earlier, accumulation of fat also depends on how much calories you consume. Reduce the calories you consume gradually, for instance, cut down 200 calories from your diet instead of all of a sudden cutting down 800 calories.
Have food with fiber, such as fruits and vegetables, avoid junk food, drink 8-10 ounces of water everyday.
Exercise: Start exercising, if you are not fond of sports then join a gym. Start burning some calories. Every 3500 calories burnt will make you lose 1 pound of fat, but it needs to be done systematically. If you try to lose 3500 calories very quickly, you might get stretch marks, saggy skin and the weight you lost might even bounce back. So do not be in a hurry, give it time.

Never make Weight Loss your goal, instead, make Fitness your goal. If you aim on being fit, you will automatically shed pounds, build muscles, have a good cardiac system and gain all the health benefits. You also will be able to sustain the routine and retain the results for a longer period of time.
