1. Use artificial sweeteners instead of table sugar or confectioner’s sugar or honey. Artificial sweeteners can provide you that sweet taste without really making you feel hungry afterwards. Table sugar, the powdered confectioner’s sugar and natural honey all contain the simplest forms of carbohydrates which, when consumed, spike the glucose level in the blood. This is what triggers your hunger pangs and that insatiable feeling that you have to constantly eat, eat and eat. Use artificial sweeteners on your drinks and pastries. If you are craving for sweets, choose products that use artificial sweeteners like sugar-free cookies or soda. Or better yet, why not munch fresh sweet seasonal fruits instead?
2. Add more water or ice to your drinks. Most people do not consider the calories they consume in their drinks. Unfortunately, these "unaccounted for" calories can promote nothing but excessive weight gain. That extra large order of chocolate blended frappuccino with whipped cream you order everyday can already give you a whopping 750+ calories already; and this still does not include the high level of fat too. In order to satisfy your urge for your favorite drinks, you might want to add a bit more water or ice to the liquids you take regularly.
For example: your usually glass of beer can be diluted with more ice so that you do not consume as much as you normally do. Having something stronger? Then you might want to add a bit more soda water or unsweetened fruit juice to the drink instead. This tip works particularly well for beverages that do not have sugar free options like alcohol-based drinks and can help you lose weight fast.
