3. Eat more often – if you eat three meals a day you should try grazing or eating five small meals a day so you never feel hungry. Make sure to start out with breakfast as it is very important for the rest of your day. Keep plenty of fresh fruit, dried fruit, nuts and other healthy snacks around so you will always have something to graze.
4. Drink water - most people don’t drink enough water because they don't like it or don't think about it. There are several approaches to this with some people saying you need to drink 8 glasses a day and others saying 13 glasses are right. According to The Mayo Clinic, The Health Institute of Medicine recommends 3 liters (about 13 cups) of liquid per day for the average male and 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of liquid per day for women.
The rule of thumb is to drink enough so that you never feel thirsty. And you can drink thing other than water – such as iced teas, herbal teas, green teas, some fruit juices, and any other types of liquid the help count towards your water intake.
5. Eat fiber - fiber keeps you regular and helps keep food moving through your bowels. This is an important part of the digestion process. Fiber will also make you feel full. Most people could double their fiber intake to help lose weight fast.
6. Stay away from crash diets - so-called lose weight fast fad diets sometimes work for a few days but eventually, you will gain the weight back because they are not based on good nutrition. Usually these fad diets make your body lose water, not fat.
7. Be kind to yourself - this is supposed to be fun so don't beat yourself up if you don’t eat healthy everyday. In fact, give yourself a break once a week if you need to especially if you become bored.
Losing weight doesn’t have to be a chore and it should be something that makes you feel good.
