Diet And Weight Loss

Dieting and loosing weight is synonymous a subject. This would be the 'Battle of the Bulge' or simply the 'Weight Loss' Program.


Besides the exercise regime to lose weight, dieting is the other solution. Eating a sensible Diet does help to lose weight, it takes a longer period but it's a sensible and healthy way. There is the only difficulty of creating a habit out of it. The habit forming idea is upon us to be determined to adhere to a schedule. It is known that anything done in a sequence of 30 days consecutively will inculcate it into a habit.


There was an incident concerning my friend's sister. She was obese and was as rounded as anyone could imagine. All her needs and family members were taken care of by maids. All were provided from meals to housekeeping. No family members needed to do any household chores and with no exercise of any sporting activities. They ate hearty and generous meals. Both my friend and her sister were not concerned about any weight control issue. They should be screaming for a Weight Loss program. They were happy and not concerned about the measure of their weights.

Diet Plan

Then one day the sister made a switch to a special Diet plan and had her meals prepared separately from the rest of the family. She had the authority to do it and did not offend the rest of the family as they maintained to eat their regular happy meals.

To me it was quite unusual as she gave particular instructions to the cook around her new food Diet. I thought nothing of it until after some time of nine months at the country club, I happened to see her with her brother by the pool in swimwear. She was like a teenage runway fashion model! That made me recall what her food instructions were to her cook. It was a simple 'No Fat' in the food command. It was drastic that besides eating just seafood fresh from the market, all the food had to be cooked by steaming and all vegetables that needed cooking are to be blanched. This is a real proof that the Diet alone that we choose will help in Weight Loss. The 'Proof is in the Pudding', so the saying goes. I have seen her transformation for the better. She was happy that she can flaunt her nice and beautiful body with trendy fashionable clothing. This is besides the other things that attracts with the new found body.

My friend later lost weight and was rewarded with an elegant stature. The reason for this new healthy outlook is that the whole family's Diet had changed to healthy food plan decided for Weight Loss. The weight loss diet plan with healthy food and healthy eating improves health, fitness and change of appearance.

Low Fat Diet

Personally, I have adopted a regime of eating a sensible Diet. There is no need to forgo what we liked but if we see anything that it is 'high fat', high carbohydrate, high salt and high sugar, we just eat less of it. The underlining thought is that you have tasted it and tasting more of it like a glutton serves no benefits. The other thought is that we must have one main dish and not many main dishes. It is either a white meat or red meat and should go with lots of fresh vegetables. Remove all visible fats attached to the meats. When there is hunger attack, satisfy it with lots of fruits and healthy nutritious high fiber meal. Drinking lots of water is better than aerated drinks or beverages. Consuming home cooked food is way healthier than eating fast food. Use more fresh ingredients and less of packed and processed foods to reduce sodium intake. Go for extra lean meat or chicken minus the skin. Drain off oil that appears during cooking and avoid frying foods.

Have a personal 'vendetta' against fats and unhealthy eating. Mount all the fats that you have separated during the meals that you see on your side plate. You will soon take pleasant credit for accumulating all the fats that you did not consume. It helps, as getting rid of the fats when in our body, is VERY difficult. An added note, is always to refrain from heavy salad dressings.


Weight Loss Program

Should one wish to be more comprehensive, it is advised to take on a wholesome diet or Weight Loss clinic program. Importantly, we should have the objective of a healthy balanced Diet and a regular workout exercise routine.

The beginning of the new Diet is difficult and the solution to Weight Loss is, one's motivation. Have the reason for healthy dieting burned into the mind. Use that motivation and eat sensibly. It will succeed when the habit forms. You then realize that the healthy Diet works and you are not missing anything. Your health and wellness can then be determined just by how much you decide to intake. You are then in command of your weight, health and nutrition. This through a sensible diet plan. Healthy eating and regular exercise to maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle with your regime of Diet and Weight Loss.

Healthy Plan

The recommended daily energy intake for Ladies is from 1,200 to 2,000 calories and for Men 1,500 to 2,500 calories. Children, older people and people with passive lifestyle require less energy, young growing adults and physically active people will require more calories. The USDA Food Pyramid, new updated dietary guideline is a good general monitoring system for the appropriate amount and varieties of food consumption for healthy living. Some form of physical and sport activities go together with a healthy diet plan for the success of weight loss.

Overeating and Poor Diet causes Poor Health and threatening aging illnesses.

Healthy Eating with a Healthy Diet promotes optimal health and ensures longevity.
