Two Diets that Work Fast

Two Diets That Work Fast

The only thing better than a weight loss plan that works is a dieting strategy that works fast. Slimming down for good can be one of the toughest goals you will ever try.
The reasons for someone wanting to lose weight quickly can vary from person to person. You could have an appointment toward the end of the month, and you want to at least feel like you're at your best for the occasion. Or maybe you just want to find a dieting technique that works rapidly so you can just get it over with. (You might have some luck with these diets that work fast, in fact.)
There is a frequently ignored problem with speedy diet strategies though. They ordinarily only work as a short term solution. It's no fun to lose twenty pounds in 30 days if you gain 30 pounds 30 days later.
Some weight loss dieting technique plans aren't safe, either. In fact, the more unusual and more restrictive the weight loss technique is, the less likely it is to be safe. We recommend treating weight loss like a long term goal, not a short term one.

But here are two suggestions for fast weight loss diets that are effective.
The Atkins Diet

The Atkins weight loss plan has a bad reputation in some circles, but the Atkins weight loss scheme is undeniably effective in dropping pounds. The Atkins diet is a carbohydrate restricted plan, and during the 2 week induction phase, you are limited to consuming only 20 grams of carbs per day or less.

This carb reduction causes rapid water weight loss and a condition called ketosis, which causes fat burning.

On the Atkins diet, you are encouraged to eat freely of any kind of meat, chicken, or seafood products during the first two weeks of this diet, so you're talking about ham and fried eggs for breakfast every morning, if you like that type of meal. And beef, pork, poultry, or fish at your other two meals every day, along with salads. You can even have diet Jello for dessert, with real whipped cream. (But you have to use Splenda or some other sugar free sweetener, since sugar is loaded with carbohydrates.)

The Seven Day Size Down
Personal fitness coach Larry North used to promote a plan called the Seven Day Size Down, where someone could drop an entire pant or dress size in just 7 days. Aerobic exercise and weight training are a crucial part of the plan. This swift weight loss dieting program is in all probability moderately healthy, but the diet is not terribly stimulating.

First, you have to go for a 60 minute walk every day for 7 days. You also have to weight train on four of those days.

Second, you consume six meals daily, which must be perfectly balanced and low fat. By absolutely balanced, I mean that each meal includes a hand sized serving of lean protein--chicken, fish, lean red meat, or egg whites--and a similarly sized carbohydrate portion, normally brown rice or oatmeal, but without sweetener or salt. At three or four of those meals, you also must include a serving of leafy green vegetables.

The Seven Day Size Down sounds easy, but it's trickier than you might think.
