Slimming Tea Herbal Drink

Is drinkng slimming tea good?

There are many claims made about the benefits of slimming tea. In this article I will outline tea facts and suppositions in a non prejudicial way and you can decide for yourself if you want to start drinking slimming tea. Firstly, slimming tea has many other names including green tea, weight loss tea, Chinese weight loss tea etc. The promoters of slimming tea inform us of the amazing benefits than be gained from drinking weight reduction tea, apart from their obvious slimming ones. The benefits claimed range from cancer cures to acne reduction. The whole subject of slimming tea and weight loss tea is confusing and abounds with claims and counter claims regarding the benefits. With so much at stake (because tea is the most popular drink in the world, excluding water) it is hardly surprising that bulk tea producers can make unsupported claims in the unregulated tea industry. Some scientific study has taken place however, and it seems reasonable to support the fact that slimming teas do assist with weight loss when a person is healthy and active.

Herbal slimming tea other names

Green tea is regarded as a slimming tea and is believed to have many other good qualities too, such as being beneficial to sufferers of certain cancers and heart disease. The evidence from scientific studies seems to concentrate on the anti-oxidant properties of the tea. If you are an overweight person (couch potato is such an ugly term, but I have heard it applied to me) and decide to change your usual beverage from regular coffee (or regular loose leaf tea) to slimming tea then it should be noted that no benefit will occur and you will remain overweight until you supplement your new tea with a bit of exercise. Weight loss tea will not work by itself, it seems (you need to help too).

More slimming tea facts

Chinese weight loss tea seems to be the same thing as Chinese slimming tea or herbal weight loss tea or green tea or weight reduction tea or herbal slimming tea or loose green tea or diet tea adfinitum. Many countries produce tea but the three main teas types are China, Indian and Cambod tea.

Refreshing tea can be green

People often associate tea with relaxation, and rightly so, because there is nothing quite like a ‘refreshing cup of tea’ regardless of the type of tea in the teapot. Herbal teas and green teas can be tasteless but some fruity teas taste really good. Green tea, which is believed to have originated in China, is an acquired taste and you may even have to forgo milk (and sugar?) in it.

Five tea tips
Boil fresh water every time for tea making because re-boiled water will have less oxygen in it and will compromise the true taste of your tea.

Tea has very little caffeine to begin with (less than coffee) but if you wish to try decaffeinated tea it’s caffeine content will be well below 1% and a typically value de-caff tea would be 0.25%.

Earl Grey tea has oil added to it. The oil is bergamot and will amount to 0.5% concentrate which is easily tasted when you drink this tea. It is nice too. There are many other flavored teas to try.

Fruit teas are refreshing. I tried orange and cranberry which was pleasant. Fruit based teas do not have any caffeine or sugar and are an acquired taste.

Pu-Erh tea is a Chinese tea with low caffeine count and it is rich in antioxidants. It is recommended that you drink 3 cups or mugs of this tea every day (without milk).

Healthy slimming tea

Tea is good for the environment as it breaks down easily and naturally. It is very good for my roses but do tear open the used tea bags for quicker decomposition. If this article leaves (no pun untended) you more confused than even before, then join the club and a have a nice cup of tea and relax yourself. My opinion is that if you wish to maintain a healthy weight then the drinking of a slimming tea will certainly help, but only if you take care of your body with regular exercise too.

Herbal slimming tea and the polyphenol effect

Yet another name is herbal tea. The presence of polyphenol (an anti-oxidant) in green, herbal, weight loss tea is what gives the tea it’s slimming property. Polyphenols help the tea drinker to lose weight because they assist with burning fat and also reduced the body’s ability to store fat. Other types of tea may contain polyphenols too, so check the ingredients of any tea that you buy. Tea will stain your tea sets and crockery mugs very quickly as tea is a rather good dye and I wonder how much of a tea drinker’s insides are dyed too.
Tips for weight loss with or without slimming tea
Best time to drink slimming tea

Help slimming tea to do its work.Get regular exercise, start with a couple of 10 minute sessions (run, skip or walk briskly, but whatever you choose make sure you get a cardiovascular workout. It should cause you to sweat a bit. Try to eat less by reducing portion sizes and try to space out your meals evenly throughout the day. If possible, then try to increase your intake of vegetables and fruit. Convince yourself that you are not hungry and eat your food slowly (difficult to do in the hectic world of today). Drink herbal slimming teas or bottled water instead of Coke. The best time to drink your slimming tea is straight after your meals.
