Quick Weight Loss
For anybody that's looking to lose weight quick, I have two small yet valuable pieces of advice:
Read up on dieting and exercising before you hit the gym
Don't go overboard by trying to lose weight quicker than humanly possible
Reading up on diets and exercise is very important. Because the more you know, the faster you will get your results. And that's what you want, right? Fast results?
Don't waste weeks or months on ineffective diet plans and exercise programs that you made up yourself that you think will work 'just because'.
Learn from other people's mistakes. The weight loss diets and the exercise programs are out there on the web. They are freely available for anybody who is not too lazy to reach out for them.
Don't try to lose weight to fast. You would do yourself a big favor by not even wanting to lose weight too fast.
You will set yourself up for disappointment if you do. And you don't want to sabotage your own weight loss attempts before you start them, do you?
The proper way to lose weight is more than rapid enough. You can achieve substantial results in only a few months. Sometimes even weeks.
How fast you get your results is all up to you. The more you know up front about diets and exercise, the quicker you will lose those pounds.
Quick Weight Loss
If you want to lose weight quickly, you must get yourself on a healthy weight loss diet and a regular exercise program.
Body fat is nothing other than reserve energy. You have unused energy stored on your body. Your job is to start using it all up!
You will do this by making sure that you use up more energy than you take in. If you do this correctly, your body will take that energy shortage out of your fat reserves.
The result is that you lose weight. And it will be the right kind of weight loss... the kind that comes from the fat. Not from the muscle, the bone, or your 'retained water'.
As long as you stick to your diet, your fat loss will more likely than not be permanent. It will take you some time and energy to get there, but the maintenence of a slim body is so much easier!
This is what makes it all worthwhile. Most people seem to think that, in order to be slim, they'll have to spend their entire lives on boring diets that don't allow them to snack anything at all.
That is a misconception. If you have this idea, then throw it overboard right now. As long as you hold on to it, you will likely never start any serious weight loss attempts.
And that would be a real shame. Real results are within your grasp. It is important that you realize this. You are no different from any other person. If you put in the time and energy, you will burn your fat and become a slim person!
How To Lose Weight Quick
Like I said, you will need to create a daily calorie shortage.
Let the daily calorie shortage come from your diet. Don't count on exercise to save your day. Don't go exercising only to have a greasy hamburger afterwards, because you think they cancel each other out.
It doesn't quite work that way. You want all your calories to be healthy ones. Sorry to break it to you... but in a serious weight loss plan, the candy bars, fat snacks, coffee and soda drinks will have to be cut out completely.
Don't worry... you can still get some of all that stuff later on, after a few weeks of dieting with discipline. You won't gain your weight right back. Not as long as the junkfood doesn't replace your new, healthy diet.
And this is exactly what is key.
Your overall diet must be healthy. You must always be sure to get enough of the good proteins, carbohydrates and fatty acids in one day. Eating some junkfood on top of your weight loss diet is not going to destroy all the results you worked so hard to get.
This means that you can have your snacks in times where you are merely maintaining your weight.
In times where you are asking a lot from your body because you want it to burn fat... don't even think about eating junkfood.
Junkfood is high intensity calorie food. There are more calories in one tiny little cookie than there are in an entire head of lettuce.
With junkfood and soda drinks, you never know how many calories you are taking in very little time.
The perceived effect of 'just one more cookie' is a complete distortion from reality.
The reality is that 5 cookies can easily be 500 calories total. So there goes your calorie shortage for the day.
Junkfood sabotages your body's fat burning mechanism. I can't stress it enough... no junkfood whatsoever during periods of weight loss.
Lose Weight Quick
So what should you do then, besides keeping your hands off the junkfood?
First of all... your diet has a bigger impact on your weight loss than your exercise program does. Not the other way around.
Remember this, because it is important.
Your diet is the fundamentation of your body and its health. Get your diet in order!
A good diet includes roughly the following:
1. Good proteins. These come from cottage cheese, tuna, turkey, chicken, lean meats, etc. Proteins are the building blocks of your body. They are responsible for keeping your muscle tissue intact. You have to maintain the muscles. They make it easier to burn fat.
2. Good carbohydrates. These come from whole wheat bread, fruits, spaghetti, graham crackers, etc. The carbs you will need to keep your energy levels at a rate where they can sustain your daily functioning. Carbs from these foods will give off steady amounts of energy over a longer period of time.
3. Good fatty acids. You can get these from fish mostly. Also try to mix in some flax seed oil whenever you are having cottage cheese. It is also possible to get the good fats from Omega 3 supplements.

If you can maintain a diet such as this over a period of a few weeks and you work in regular exercise as well, you will burn fat and get good results for sure!
The amount of times you should be exercising per week, is around 3 or 4. This kind of depends on the amount of energy you have. If you feel up to it, just go to the gym!
Also, try to work in a few walks around the block. If only you take a walk for 15 minutes a couple of times per week, it will aid you in getting those results.
At home, you can also do resistance training. You can do ground exercises such as push ups and ab crunches. Or you can buy yourself a couple of dumbbells and use those. They're cheap, they last forever and don't take up much space.
You need to get a proactive mindset in order to get the best results possible.
Don't rob your future self out of a healthy, slim body. Make the choice to take action today! Get your diet sorted out and start hitting the gym.
A few weeks from now, you won't be sorry you did!
